Its been a few years. I remember in senior/junior year when my grades were good enough to go to an ivy school. I'm in a great program now but I've just gotten so fkin lazy.
I'm spending more time on fb than hitting the books. I need to set myself up for better habits if I want to make med school.
Anyways, I'm glad to meet all of you and hopefully we all improve ourselves. Good thread op.

My work has been really slow due to the weather up here. Waiting for a phone call to get interviewed at the most prestigious construction companies in NJ, I'm pretty sure I'll get the job. Well the river is running dry and after this bill cycle I'll be at 0.
This really has hit my confidence hard, was depressed all week and bored. Can't go to the gym because I owe them money and I hurt my chest. I'm usually a happy kid, but this has really been the lowest in a couple of years. But I'm going to be more positive and hopefully the phone will ring this week! Time to get out of this funk and get my swag back!

Subb'd.
Some of my favorite books I've read to help me improve my life:
The Power of Now
The 48 Laws of Power
Psycho Cybernetics
The Game - Some will laugh at this, but its a fantastic read if you enjoy the study of social interaction and development. Got me started into self improvement and I make it a point to reread it every 6 months.
Quiet - Susan Cain
Looking to read the Tony Robbins book, Awaking the Giant. Just stumbled upon some of his YT videos from seminars and he has some quality stuff.Benes

I've been watching rsd julien and I feel he's pretty good.
On another hand, I bombed calc today. I messed up a multi step problem but its my own damn fault for not studying as well as I should have. Gonna finish all my calc work tonight and finish work from other courses. My first goal for this crew. My GPA is dipping to the 3.8ish, which is the bare minimum for a competitive average for med school so I need to balance school, work, and play.
Any other uni brahs ITT?

Great people are not born, they are made. Greatness does not necessarily warrant widespread recognition.. Only stubborn adherence to one's beliefs and values on a daily basis

I'm not really sure what you guys are looking for in terms of self-improvement, but if you're interested in expanding your consciousness, here is a list of 190 free documentaries to choose from:
http: //deusnexus.wordpress.com/2014/03/02/190-free-documentaries/"The universe vibrates to the frequency of love."
"Reclaim your mind and get it out of the hands of the cultural engineers that want to turn you into a half-baked moron, consuming all of this trash that is being manufactured out of the bones of a dying world."

Met an old workmate of mine, guy is crazy as phuck, has really opened me up to the world though and as a result I've developed a "phuck it" attitude and feel so much better because of it.
only 1730s kids will get this

Ive been doing the gratitude thing and I enjoy it. Although Ive just been telling what Im grateful for to my girlfriend rather than journaling. Id like to start journaling.
I studied Korean about 5 days out of last week.
I've advertised for more clients, didn't find any yet, although my girl got one more. Its fine because we are gonna be traveling around to a bunch of Thai islands to party and can't work much til we leave the country.
Didn't do yoga, didn't meditate. I've gotta start meditation. I think my problem is I don't know how and feel stupid or wonder if Im doing it correctly.
The new thing I have to do is start reviewing math from algebra on up to trig. And then review Newtonian physics. All stuff I learned years ago and have forgotten. Anyone recommend any resources other than Khan Academy? The reason for this is because I want to do a power engineering technologist certification, also called a boiler engineer or stationary engineer.10 years Miscing

whether its my diet..my study habits..spending habits..even working out. i do great in regarding self improvment for like 3 days tops..then it all goes to shi*s. i think about this ish everyday but for some reason i just cant get myself to being fully disciplined.

You wont ever be a new person man, you will always have to live with your past... your memories. But that doesnt mean you must dwell on them or even have to have them scarred on you. You cant just throw yourself away, and start anew. Let go of your past and build your current self in to a better version of you.
