Wouldn't say I hate anybody in my gym, but can't stand...
-Old people who have horrific form/looks like they're about to die/no idea how to use the equipment. Or wait next to me to finish and get all huffy puffy that I'm doing 5-8 sets lol ("Are you done yet!?")
-People who leave a warm and moist silhouette of themselves on a bench or seat. I will literally skip that machine/bench and come back later.
-The fat guy who only comes to the gym with broscience trying to talk/train everybody there while critiquing their form or training.
I try not to care about anybody there but sometimes its just hard not to

The **** talker. Usually really loud, shouting profanities, and surrounded by his "bro's", he talks **** about other lifters and tries to act alpha. Between his 10 minute breaks of half reps and cheat curls.
The gym's a happy place. Anyone ruining that positive energy just pisses me off.US ARMY Vet crew

My current gym is very big but it's mainly student gym and i am surprised that i don't see any people who would affect me negatively.
One guy thinks he is amazing lifter when doing 135lb clean & jerks always shouts on the whole gym, but apart from that it's very cool.
p.s. i am the guy who uses the squat rack for whole hour straight (SQ, FSQ, SLDL) so i guess i am annoying for some lol

I always get a giggle with the people in the gym with invisible lat syndrome
it's the complex where people typically 14-18% bodyfat walk around like they can't put their arms to the side like a normal person trying to make it appear they're more jacked than they are, then they proceed to stare in the mirror at every single workout they do.Modified PHAT master race

I don't really hate him, I just dislike him a lot.
There's a kid in his early 20's that started going to my gym a few years ago. His stats were around 5'7 @ 150-160 when he first started. Anyways, he used to ask me all these questions about form and what to do and sh!t... I was always nice to him, always give the guy advice. Anyways, last year he started teching with a terrible diet (waste of tech) and started getting a big head when he put on 20lbs (Sits around 180 @ 20%), studies kinesiology and is now that guy in the gym who tries to talk to everyone and give them advice about how to lift. He'll yell to people across the gym spewing out a bunch of nonsense that he thinks is funny. Dude is annoying as fuark. Drives me fuarking crazy. I don't even take my headphones out to say what's up anymore."The universe vibrates to the frequency of love."

So many. One comes to mind.
Guy that obviously is trying really hard to look cool/tough. Wears a wife beater every time to the gym. Wears lifting gloves. Always has a $hit eating smirk on his face like he's thinking "yeah I'm the most jacked dude here". In reality he's 6'3ish, big, but nothing impressive. Just looks like a dude that was naturally bigger and has been lifting for a few years. Also he never does legs. The other day he left the gym still wearing his lifting gloves and only wearing his wife beater. It was 10 degrees."If the data is overwhelmingly in favor of evolution, to deny that reality will make us a cult -- some odd group that is not really interacting with the world"- Evangelical Bible scholar Bruce Waltke

I can't hate on resolutioners, because they usually leave the squat racks vacant. There might be a line to use the benches for awhile, but the rack area is a virtual ghost-town.
I have a problem with the people who use the machines/benches as their personal chairs/waiting area. I was told very early on in my lifting career that if I wasn't using a machine at that exact moment, I shouldn't be on it. I can rest elsewhere. Meanwhile, sweaty mcgee is just sitting there for five minutes, staring blankly into space.
There's a guy in my gym that makes crazy, almost tourrets-level noises. Like he's having some kind of internal argument while he's lifting. Everybody in the gym thinks he's crazy.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

people who lift right in front of the db rack so you can't get to any dumbbells. i just force my way in there anyway. a few even asked why I couldn't just wait until their set was over. Usually just bertstare at that point
weight hoarders. this one bish hoards 3 machines at once as well has several pairs of dumbbells and doesn't let ANYONE work in with any of the equipment. other day I decided to troll her and moved the towel sitting on the lat pulldown machine to use it. Sure enough, she came back and said, "I was using that." I just said, "No you weren't. You're using those 3 sets of dumbbells over there. I'm using this." Then she went and told the front desk lol
lastly, anyone who hogs a piece of equipment for any prolonged amount of time whether the gym is busy or not. Some chit head used the only squat rack in the gym for 45 minutes for some crossfit chit.
generally, I zone everybody else out and just focus on what I need to do but if some retard is gonna do some annoying chit then I'm going to let them have it

Oh boy...
I guess I'm one of those multi station hogging ****s since I train in a Steve Michalik/John Defendis Intensity/Insanity style and sometimes am round robining up to eight different exercises.
In my own defense, I workout at a time when there aren't usually many people at the gym and I'm also more than happy to work around anyone who wants use any of the stations I'm using.

Me too, but it's not so much about age as with weight. There was this guy at my gym yesterday who looked average as fuk and be benched 325x2 (slow, controlled reps with full ROM). By looking at him he looked like he'd struggle to hit 185x2. There were also these manlet mexicans deadlifting 315 for 5-10 reps easily when just a little bit ago I almost broke my back deadlifting 315x1.

Clearly overweight guys, with arms that one can mire, using squat racks and similar equipment for curls. Close tie with guys with upper bodies that you mire but have scrawny chicken legs... or the big, hulking guys who have never used any free weight.
I will add my recent encounter today... Anytime you are doing heavy squats or deads, and you spot some pimply faced kid behind you, doing lady bicep curls and trying to position himself so he can mire himself in your mirror (e.g. mirror bombing?)!! I raged and had to remind myself not kill him and his friend... even if it would be considered a mercy killing that benefits society.<<< The You Have Received an Infraction for Avatar Abuse at Bodybuilding.com Forums Crew >>>
