the whole thing w/these records is a.) there are countless obscure ones and b.) you need to have the judge present to make em official. They may not be hard to beat but that's why he has it now.. I've seen dudes at my college gym beat that
Rob dyrdek beat like a dozen in an episode just cuz he had the guy w/him all day

I think to get a world record would be quite simple. All you have to do is find a category that has been overlooked or tweaking various conditions. If you have different time categories each differentiated by 5 minutes, you have 12 different time categories just for within 1 hour. Next you can have 20 different categories for weight conditions under 100 lbs spaced at 5 lb increments. That gives you 240 different combinations to choose from just for wide grip pullups. you could also do the same for reverse grip, or close grip, or even right or left handed and that's a few hundred more possible categories to choose from. Just find a category where there is no official record or the record is low, then record it, presto - world record holder!

setting a world record for Guinness is a free process
Source - http://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/...r-individuals/
yes, people do set stupid/obscure dumb records and if you find the record for the worlds biggest arms it's some snythol freak with like 32's lol
It's not that crazy but it is the official certified record if he wants to beat it good for him.
you can even apply for some by video http://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/...s/challengers/
judges are hired but unnecessary. Also would like info on the life of a judge and what they get paid/ actually do
You are not required to have an Adjudicator present when you attempt a record - but if you do not, you must carefully document and record your attempt so our team of Adjudicators can assess the evidence you send to us and verify whether your attempt has been successful.

Cross promotion at it's illegitimate best
My best is 16 (I'll average 14) and I'm far from a record beater! Also check out his world record for knuckle push-ups in a minute! Don't eat while doing it or you'll choke. Get this... He did it using... wait for it... TOWELS under his knuckles for padding and he still only got 45 (my best is 61 and again, I aint no record beater!)
