I would stand up for those with speech impediments given I had troubles when I was younger.

Went on a course last month, It helped but honestly made me more depressed seeing that people had been going back there for 15+ years with not much improvement

used to go to speech theraped from k-8
now in 12th and i rarely if ever stutter anymore, it was pretty much a confidence issue, when im confident i dont stutter at all
my main problem is pronounciation of a few letters and it just comes out sounding downy, get poked fun at a lot for it and because my voice sounds kinda weird

There's no real "fixing" it because the cause/mechanism appears different person to person.
It's improved greatly compared to my younger days. Middle school and high school were brutal.

Also went to speech therapy in 3rd and 4th grade and again in middle school and high school. Didn't do anything but made it worse. The frustration was beyond words.
