How will the sealant work at 110 psi? I understand how GOAT tubeless is for MTB, but don't see how it could work for road.

The tires are "Tubeless ready tires". They are inherently tighter and better sealing.

I threw tubes in for a bit...still waiting for Silca stems before I can set them up tubeless. The rims are rated to 80psi max. I have about that in there now. It's more than plenty, in fact others are running them at 55psi tubeless. Road tubeless has picked up a lot of traction actually (pun intended)...it seems all wheel makers are going this way now. I had tubeless in the MTB and never had an issue...if I have Erik's luck, I may venture road-tubeless sooner than later.

pretty sweet ride, just unsure about those really shiny bar ends and whatever that thing is hanging from your seat. Also negged for not having it in the big chainring

I've noticed you take a lot of photos in the bright sunlight. Many can be improved with the application of a graduated and/or ND filter.

These are the right type of accessories and worth every watt in aero reduction...I run two powerful headlights most days because I ride before sunrise and the intensity of the light can drain the light in just over an hour requiring a second.They are also stupidly bright in daylight (I am routinely stopped by motorists about my rear light , asking what model). This is the place to spend a little money for sure. I use these:

IIRC, you opted for the helmet mounted mirror? Honestly, my mirrors have been a godsend...I just glance at them in order to detect a car has crested the horizon and they come in handy when riding in groups.

Still doing my indoor training on the bike but also was able to pop out for a hike this past weekend. I lost most of my pictures as my phone ended up freezing but I have 5 from my actual camera left, thankfully at least.

38km ~ 2048m elevation gain. 13 hours moving time and 15 hours total time. In snowshoes breaking trail, absolutely grueling but very rewarding

Felt like a fat kid after an entire cake though after it. My cardio is absolute trash right now and it's depressing. Can't wait for this rainy weather to end.

sweet baby jesus the mind numbing nature of a 3 hour indoor ride... I watched an entire season of Rick and Morty and I was still bored to tears. Ended up Taking me 3 hours 40 to finish the entire ride lmao. Between trying to get comfortable on the saddle. Having my balls not hurt. etc etc. Also ended up lightly wrapping my elbows in tensor bandages similar to how some lifters wear neoprene sleeves on their elbows to keep them warm and a bit more supported (actually worked quite well).

Oh well. Next time will be better. My Goal is to be able to easily do a 100km ride in 3 hours in a few more months. Overall quite happy with just being able to finish it.

Hot weather brahs, do you notice much tire degradation due to heat? I stopped to check my rear 4-season today and i think i've got at least 1 tear/whatever per inch of rubber. Really freaked the **** out of me as theyve only been on for a couple months and not a huge amount of mileage.

Am i being paranoid here or does that look like the tire is totally fooked after only being on the bike since July last year with barely any miles? To me that looks like:

1) fracture (the whole thing is covered in those in various shapes and sizes)

2) the outer rubber is flaked off and that's vectran backing (its not something stuck in there)

3) the sidewall about to just fooking EXPLODE


I mean, maybe I've been riding through some Erik level chit and just been lucky, but i dont know that ive ever noticed even ONE tear before and they seem to be all over the place now.

On my Garmin I'll see #'s in the 40s regularly (mid/upper 40's), but have never gotten in the 30's. During my physical last summer they did an EKG and technically diagnosed me with bradychardia. lol

Worse for me in the winter as there's more road debris that seems to wear tires faster. Do your tires have the black chili compound? I found that significantly increases tire life for me hence one of the reasons why I like gp4000s over the gatorskins.
