Mirin
I have almost the same bike, slightly lower tier. Clipless is a 10-15% noticable boost - but near suicide for commuting
Also:
Calves have not really grown. Quads got a tad more shredded, but squats were most of it. I noticed my legs have "Not gained any size" for well over a year... but increased in strength quite a bit
The more weight I lose, the better I am, this cut is awesome! Still sadly pacing 14-16mph for 15-18 miles a day only. I really need to not skip out on weekend rides."Train by day, Joe Rogan podcast by night all day!"

I was going to go riding or to the gym to do legs today but it looks like the rainy weather has put a damper on my riding. Rain, rain, go away? Yeah right. Its like having a brick on each pedals? Stop it, I have those. But they're called dual platform to be exact: Shimano PD-M647 SPD Dual.
You can clip into either side its just has an extended platform for use with regular shoes. And for the record, they 576g.🎥

Finally got out to do this 25 mile training route I try and do a couple of times a week. It's an easy ride except for this 5 mile climb to this little mining town. I love ditching the jersey at this point and then just that feel of flying back down that hill with no shirt, with the sunshine and wind amazing. Also had a cool experience of taking this fellow miscer from the Netherlands to Moab, Utah to ride the slick rock trail. I ended up not doing the ride (long story). But it was amazing for him, he had no idea how insane it was going to be.http://www.utah.com/bike/trails/slickrock.htm
You can, and need to find a ground that you know you are suppose to stand on.. hence, stand your ground, this is the place where you know everything is as it should be for you. If you stand in a place where you know in your heart things are wrong, most things around you will never be right.
Rule number one, never work at being what another man defines as being "honorable", Honorable is is being true to what you know and and doing what you know is right for you..

What pressure do you guys have your tyres at?
I ride casually on a mountain bike with slicks at the moment and I swear that my performance went down when I pumped my tyres up (not what I expected).

I've yet to get hit by a car on my current bike
But I've wrecked myself at stoplights/sand before the first week or so riding with those. Make them loose for the first few times you ride them, tighten up after.
Should have gotten black, the silver will get trashed
Road bike tires arent the same. I'm at 100 psi front 110 psi rear"Train by day, Joe Rogan podcast by night all day!"

I ride 100/110 front/rear. The ride can be a bit bumpy on rough roads, but the reduced rolling resistance is a godsend.
I swear that my performance went down when I pumped my tyres up (not what I expected).🎥

I have ridden on clipless several times trying other people's but just never had them on my bike for normal riding. I don't care if the silver gets beat up honestly, Shimano's comparable model this year is plastic instead of aluminum and the next model upgrade is carbon. And I'm not about to buy pedals for over 1/3 of what my bike cost Going to be planning an epic upgrade about a year from now when I'm graduated and hopefully have a good full-time job secured.

High of 90 tomorrow, gonna have to get an early start. First fairly hot weekend we have had this year, hard to believe that my garmin recorded a low of 39 (at around 2pm) last Saturday.

I hate to see anybody crash. There's enough ideas going through my mind already. So please, if you post a video. have the decency to embed or clearly mark it as below.
On a related note, I've always though it pretty stupid for reporters (in any sport) to interview people when they're bleeding/injured/etc. Save those "what happened" interviews for when they're in the hospital, clean, safe, and/or recuperating.🎥

He didn't go to the hospital or clean himself up from what I saw. He was apparently fine so I didn't think it was that big of deal since they happened to be right there (in a race that can stretch out hundreds of miles).
That does look like an ascent/descent Carlos should hit up though.

I had to go through quite a bit of mud and water on my ride yesterday. Some of the trail was even washed out on a ridge so I wonder what the plan is for that section. I should have gotten a picture of it.
And now the river is flooded so every road across is closed. There is literally no way to bike across the river for about 30-40 miles. Even driving there is only one crossing for a 25 mile stretch or so.Last edited by TheStender; 06-21-2014 at 01:28 PM.
