What are you guys using for bike racks?
Hopefully I can get some help ITT, I'm looking to buy my old man a bike rack for his bday, not knowing much about them I've blindly narrowed it down to these two:
http://www.amazon.com/Swagman-Cross-...c192a55ebb5166
http://www.amazon.com/Allen-Sports-D...f24f6b2e2ea7ec
Any pros/ cons between the two styles?
Also this is the hitch I'll be installing (open to suggestions as well):

Any help would be appreciated, will rep.Me caveman, put round things on bar, lift, pound chest.

First RR of the season on Saturday - 65 miler with rolling hills in a field of around 75. Instigated a 4 man break at the top of a climb around mile 18 and we all worked together to stay away from the pack until I attacked again with about 8 miles to go and it whittled down to myself and one other guy. Unfortunately (yet wisely...) my companion proceeded to sit on my wheel despite my best efforts to shake him until about 300m to go whereupon he outsprinted me as I did not have the legs to respond since I had just towed this dude for 20 minutes. Lesson learned! But hey, got 2nd place, stayed upright, and earned some sweet prize money... I'll take it!
Planning on racing a hillclimb in 2 weeks so hopefully that one will be less about tactics and more about raw strength (or w/kg for that matter...)Mile: 4:29

Do you guys use aero road bars? I just got
http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-us/...bar/509/73305/
and

Gonna combine that with gel tape and brb riding on pillows. Should help my wrists a ton.¯\_(ツ)_/¯

nice man, bikes killer. Obviously nice bars, those are good wheels, and the dura ace gruppo is unbeatable. Mines been working flawlessly for years.
My uncles a current world champion pro cyclist and my aunt (his wife) works for a major road bike manufacturer so I've been spoiled with nothing but the best my whole riding career lol
As someone who's ridden $3-4K bikes and $12k+ bikes, the difference really isn't that much.
You ride for Giants team?¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Changed my road handlebars from 40cm width/deep drop to 44cm width/"compact" drop. God damn, bike feels perfect now.
Crushed some strava segments with record tailwind the other day lmao.

Just looked outside and saw snow flurries. I feel like I've been waiting for temperate weather for years. Meanwhile, I hit my goal of 400 miles for April yesterday. But it was one of the most unpleasant rides I've ever done. First of all, it was a downpour. The temp was 45 degrees. And to top it off wind speed was 21 mph. So I'm completely soaked in a 37 degree windchill. My entire body went numb. I took a hot shower as soon I got inside but I couldn't feel it so I kept adjusting the water hotter and slowly the numbness dissolved. Next month should stay above freezing so the goal is 600 miles.
I feel pathetic putting up such measly numbers now that I compare to other riders on Strava. They all seem to ride in a week the distance I do in a month. I don't know how they find the time.
Oh, and my brakes failed me today. I live 3/4 up a hill that leads into a t-intersection and I'm applying the brakes at the top of the hill and couldn't slow the bike under 10 mph so I had to steer into the curb to stop. I had to walk halfway back up the hill to my building. I just tightened them a week ago. Must be from all the residue of the street greasing up my rims.Misc Bicycle Club - https://www.strava.com/clubs/armstrongballclub

I've been wanting to get into mountain biking for awhile and recently been seeing a bunch of stuff about single speed bikes. Would I be crazy to get one as a first mountain bike? I live in Florida and if the bike trails are anything like the hiking trails, it's gonna be a lot of flat riding.
