This.
A prediction I made in another thread: a vaccine will be released just prior to the election. The admin will put together a mass vaccination plan which will help the Democrats during the election. The company who made the vaccine will make lots of money off the fear spread around by the politically controlled media.
Most Doctors agree, this whole Ebola scare is a joke.Twatter: marked4u2c

how he got it isn't really disconcerting.
the fact he traipsed across NYC using subway and taxis and possibly infecting other public areas with his bodily fluids....that's scary.
largely because it's impossible to track. If he flew a plane, you can identify who he sat next to. On the subway, could be anyone. And if it gets to the homeless community, who frequently use public transportation....oh lawd.
I lived ~3 years in NYC and the subways get a LOT of use. It's hard to win an argument with a smart person. It's damn near impossible to win an argument with a stupid person. - Bill Murray

don't forget that he was a health care professional who specifically went to treat ebola victims and was familiar with necessary safety protocols...or so we thought.....
over/under on the number of ebola cases in NYC metro area in the next 30 days (excluding anyone who contracted it in Africa and brought it home)?

Too many variables and unknown factors to determine culpability vs blatant ignorance on his part. I'm guessing he was required to undergo some type of screening prior to returning to the states. Wishful thinking aside, if he did the fault lies more with the protocols used than any individual.

I wasn't looking to blame anyone specific. I was simply calling out that just because one is a health care professional does not automatically mean that they are on a different level of awareness and would not be capable of spreading/contracting the virus.
"As a health care professional I doubt seriously he was spreading his secretions throughout the big apple." - If he wasn't perfect in making sure he wasn't exposed to the secretions of others in a region where many are sick with ebola, I seriously doubt he was perfect in making sure he didn't expose others to his secretions in a region where nobody is sick with ebola. In other words, in Africa his guard was up (or should have been) and he still got exposed. Here in the US his guard was assuredly down and odds are pretty good he wiped his runny nose without thinking about it and then touched a subway seat, handrail or bowling ball. It's hard to win an argument with a smart person. I bet you're fun around the sewing circles.
You can practice universal precautions until you're blue in the face but there will always be a slight risk of infection when dealing with high risk patients. I realize that my statement gives credence to your argument but it also lends to the idea that he was not careless when working with these patients and therefore may not be careless when practicing personal hygiene in the states. I don't know him personally but 20+ years in the medical field and personal interaction with other medical professionals gives me ground to stand on for my statement and belief that most, if not all medical professionals are just a bit more self aware when dealing with personal/public hygiene.
Once again I don't know this guy personally but I feel as though caution/precautions taken by the local government are being used by the vocal minority and the ignorant masses to spread fear and foment dissent amongst the masses of the uninformed.★cVc★
