As I said in the previous thread that $140k is a huge burden and I don't envy you. But, you're only 22, still very young - you definitely haven't ruined your life. To fix it though you're gonna have to get used to the idea of working very hard and not having much fun until you've paid it off.
Engineering is what I'm familiar with so that's what I'll talk about. If you get a good gpa 3.4+ and have some work experince from summer jobs or working for a professor, you will get a reasonably paying job, ~$60k. With that salary, assuming you can live frugally, you could pay off your loans in maybe 10 years or so even if you accumulate another $60k for the engineering degree. Sounds like a long time and a raw deal, and it is, but with the college bubble it's not too uncommon of a situation.
This all hinges on you developing some real discipline to succeed in engineering, though, so you'd have to be prepared to put int 80 hour weeks of studying/working for your degree, especially if you don't have natural talent for engineering.
Something really needs to be done about college loans though; they had no business offering you $140k.
