Doing an internal attack during a structure fire. My partner and I were about the enter the structure, and for whatever reason we stopped and looked behind us cause we thought someone called out to us. Seeing no one there we proceeded inside and the entire roof collapsed 3 feet in front of us. If we never stopped, we would be toast.

A few times. Most not worth mentioning. But the "big one":
IED flips suburban on its side. I'm in front passenger seat. Right leg gets trapped between seat and door. I wasn't stuck stuck, but the angle wouldn't allow me to pull it out. Engine is on fire, smoke coming through what's left of windshield. I'm hearing "tink tink tink" of rounds hitting vehicle. Debating if I'll burn to death or get my head chopped off on Al Jiz.
Big burly Brit who was our trunk monkey reaches through windshield and pulls me out. Head back to compound.
Get wasted on vodka. The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself.

lets see here.
When i was 11 I was walking to the grocery store for a sunday newspaper and 3 guys, 2 black 1 white, held me up at gunpoint for the measly 5 dollars I had.
when i was 14 i tripped over a board of nails and had 5 of them enter me, one nearly missing my spine.
just a couple weeks ago i had a 25 foot aluminum ladder fall on top of me. luckily someone was looking out for me and saw it just in time and braced myself for it by diving out of the way. I was facing away from it and i suddenly had the urge to look back to see it coming down. escaped with a concussion and multiple bruises on my back, shoulders, and legs.i would take her temperature with my beef thermometer.

I got really lucky in my cases:
-Riding on my road bike (wearing lycra and helmet). Doing 30mph down this road that i'm unfamiliar with, massive pothole in the road that I couldn't see, throws my wheel out and can't control it. Bounce straight onto the other side of the road and hit a car head on, they must've been doing at least 30/40mph. Got out very lucky, with only a bruised ass and a very broken bike. I lunged the bike forward and fell backwards so it took most of the impact. Them reflexes.
-Racing and a guy takes me off at 42mph on this bridge and I nearly fly over this bridge into a quarry. Came out with shortened fingers and my eyebrow split open.
Not half as bad as some of you guys, but just my little stories++ Positive Crew ++

When I was 6 or 7 my brother and I were in a hotel pool, neither of us could swim. We would just stay in the shallow area or hold onto the side. I got the bright idea to show off, so I went to the deep end and jumped off thinking I would just turn and grab onto the side when I came up. LOL NOPE.
Luckily after a few seconds my step dad noticed and grabbed my ass out of the water. Scary chit.
Another time was I was wading in the tide pools looking for critters (8 or 9 at the time), wasn't paying attention and a wave knocked me over and an undertow pulled me out a little. Fuuarrkk that was scary.

was 6 ish. Was in Cornwall at the beach. Saw a bunch of people swimming really far out in the sea so I followed them. Got swept away by the current and almost drowned lol. Was shouting for help and luckily there were some surfers near by who swam over and brought me back to the beach.
That moment when you think 'oh ****'. Because you don't have any control of the situation anymore. Thought I was going to die. srs.*DYEL misc standards crew*

I've had a couple
Got caught in a storm out in the ocean in a way to small to be out there boat, the storm came so fast we didn't have time I get back. The boat was catching air on the breakers and kept filling with water. Was very lucky to make it back on that one.
The other one I was on a road trip and we saw a waterfall and I said I bet I can climb that waterfall, I made it pretty damn close to the top until it went to a unclimbable angle without ropes. Looked down and saw two Harley's pull onto the pullout and they looked like ants. Tried to see how to climb back down and couldn't find any good foot holds. Decided to traverse to the vegetative part cause it looked easier to get down ended up slipping and dropping about five feet before catching myself by grabbing onto devils club. It was a very intense moment and I didn't even feel the 1" spines embedded in my hand.
I've had some other close calls but those were probably the closest.___----Xtend Representative----___

Tried passing a semi on a 2 lane highway he was going 110km in a 110max. Had more than enough time or so I thought. Hit the gas to accelerate past, I must've been on a slight incline because I wasn't getting any speed at all. (probably 115) At this point I'm getting kinda nervous even though there's not a car in sight. I decide to floor it, still only getting about 120. (strong POS 94 accord) I'm about half way passed the semi when I see another semi come around the bend, probably about 3km coming towards me. Start getting really freaked out. I'm about 2/3rds past the semi at this point but my car isn't going any faster. 2km away now. I have to make a decision to brake or pass. I slam on my brakes and start swerving slightly but it seems like I'm not even stopping. (I think the semi beside me started slowing down to let me in) I'm less than 300m away at this point. The oncoming semi moves almost completely off the road to keep from squashing me. Probably missed me by 5metres. "HOLY CHIT!" *breathing heavily**let's out huge sigh* Stay safe brahs.
"Movin' ahead so life won't pass me by."

Car accidents and rocket attacks in Iraq. More scared of car accidents than war crew. srs I expect to be killed half the time I drive to and from work (DC traffic nightmare). But I was never really nervous during either deployments even when being attacked.
