I ate 2700 calories at the end of the day when i was on par for 2300 and i figured oh im hungry ill eat my favorite Ice cream then i said no ill eat a healthy choice meal its good for me. So I ate it and about 20 minutes later or so I was still craving something so i sat there hemed and hawed then i said ahh screw it im having 3 servings of ice cream at 140 calories per serving. And between the healthy choice meal and the ice cream I ended up at 2700 calories for the day. Then I said ahh ill make it up on my deficit tomorrow. Then I said no I wont Im going to do cardio so i busted my hump for 40 minutes and quit and I just checked my ending calorie burn from yesterday and it was 2619 calories after adjustment for error so im 81 calories over as a result but for me to burn as much as I did in 40 minutes i was busting my hump really good. Never again. Thats the first I slipped up in 7 weeks. The lack of quality sleep is messing with my leptin levels and causing those cravings.

You act like you're new to these threads. Of course they did lol. They'll be back in a thread or two to try again. They most likely lurk, but don't post due to embarrassment, laziness, etc. Even though it's ok to fail and fall off, because it's the rest of your life. We all have weak points, otherwise we'd all be looking stellar. But some people have yet to fully grasp it and they get discouraged. Some get annoyed with other peoples success and pics, wondering why should they bother and have a defeatist attitude. Others just stop caring to post.

what's funny is I stay in these threads because they make me NOT fall off.
I'd still work out A ton, but coming here gets me motivated to kick even more ass, since I'm a natural competitor by nature. I didn't even submit my name and weight to the spreadsheet and was just doing this 'alongside' you guys because just the energy drives me like that.
Some getting annoyed with other peoples success and pics and wondering why should they bother; This is not the case for me; as I just get annoyed with myself. It just makes me work that much harder to the point I was willing to do ANYTHING to get this done. Whatever it took I would have done it. I can't have another summer of being out shape. Over my dead body. If it took getting up at 5 and running a million miles and working out twice a day; still would have done it and that's what I did. When I first started in this thread, I was SO SO pissed about my love handles and back fat, as I was still on the lean side... but had to turn it up a notch.
it's cuz of you guys posting; that got me super, super lean, and I def wanna say thanks again. I'm def reaping the rewards and I'm early for summer. It's just starting to get really nice where I"m at.
Somebody said to me yesterday, damn, you're a totally different person in 3 months... another person I saw who knew me, walked right past me because he did not recognize me. Almost brings me to tears... but wolves don't cry.Last edited by loseitall90210; 04-22-2014 at 08:55 AM.

Starting my cut today.
Ended up doing a 6 month long awful FULK after finding out my thyroid was the cause of me not being able to lose weight among other medical problems.
2 major things I did wrong:
1) Gave in to crap food after a month of eating clean. At one point I was having a pint of ice cream for breakfast and dinner.
2) No cardio. At all. (What the fk was I thinking?)
Posting for embarrassment. And hoping newbies will learn from it. lol..

Speaking from personal experience, it is embarrassing to me to chime in that I haven't lost the weight I'd like to lose. I can see why people fall off and pick up again the next round. My problem is consistency in execution. I know what I need to do, but I haven't found the discipline - each time I lose a few I gain them back. I eat under maintenance for several days, then blow the deficit with a day of over eating, or going for drinks, or whatever. But I do come back and check-in, because it helps me set out on the right path again. It also helps to measure other successes. The pain in my lower back is really reduced through hitting the gym more consistently these past few months. That is a huge non-scale success!
I find the sucess stories to be motivational. So everyone, please keep them coming.

Morning everyone!
I'm so crazy. So, I complained about doing 3 consecutive soccer games on Monday, only to do t again on Tuesday. Today is leg day -_-. Decided to slow cook my chicken this week, make it a little more versatile then just baking it, since i can pull it. Despite my epic Easter, i'm still at 209, which is epic in itself. Could I have been right? Could this be the start of the downward trend of the scale numbers. Will this summer be my most beach desired one? Only time will tell, but I'm having fun nonetheless.
Yesterday, someone at the gym told me that one of the most sought after physiques in the gym. I told him people set their standards much too low then. LOL! What he was refering too was the amount of definition i have given my height to weight/size ratio, saying that most guys my size, while big, would look soft. So I took that as a compliment and kept pushed on. Speaking of that guy, he's pretty shredded. 5'9" 180, about 10% bf and 49 years old. Looks like he's 35.
I swear the gym is a fountain of youth!
Superhappy Why be embarrassed? I've lost 2 lbs this whole competition. Weight loss isn't the end all be all definition of making progress. If it were easy, we wouldn't need support threads.

Human nature I suppose. I've had other successes in the past few months (non-scale successes), so yeah I completely agree weight loss isn't the end all be all definition of progress. Congrats on the great compliment at the gym!
---
Achieved my plan to get 10k steps yesterday and got a workout in last night - ran a mile for warmup and to burn a few extra cals, then 3 rounds of squats, TRX pullups, lunges, pushups. Short but sweet.
Have a great day everyone!

this time I genuinely forgot to update my weight saturday with master NW due to multiple trips to see family scattered around (~350miles traveled)
that being said I was on the verge of losing, just before the easter festivities. From saturday morning to sunday night I gained 6 delicious easter pounds of which I regret none.
Everything is coming back to baseline quite nicely and I am thrilled for the last few days of the cutᕙ(´• ͜ʖ •`)ᕗ

Ahhh nothing like being on a cut and still having two servings of bryers oreo cookies and cream ice cream. (140 calories a serving) Who needs the over hyped super calorie ben and jerry's ice cream. I had 2010 calories for the day.
