Yesterday was walking to car after huge event and I was looking through the crowd to see a Down syndrome kid. He was smiling at me like they always do and I smiled back. Best feeling all day. Actually made me feel like a good person.

Edit: also I've been known to when being driven around shirfaced I will yell out compliments. Honestly it's funnier than anything else. "Hey you look good today". "That dress looks nice!"

It just slays me the number of people that wont return a "good morning" or say thank you when you hold the door for them (not just women).

It takes a certain amount of aloofness to be able to say "hi" to everyone and be nice when nothing is mutual or returned.

I do this all the time. Be cordial to everyone and give them a smile and a hello. At the gym, the grocery store, anywhere. You never know who those people are, their life story, or where you may run across them again (job interview, etc.).

Stopped at the store for a few things on the way home form the gym last week and grabbed a few flowers for my mom and wife (yea, I do that, u mad?) and some 7/10 cute girl behind me was looking distraught so I gave her one and told her she had a cute smile, use it. She gave me a hug told me it made her day.

How most of you guys pass up the opportunity to do that for someone and rather walk around mean-mugging people all day thinking you are superior and alpha confounds me.
