I did a 4 week run you can check my forum post. Good Luck I wouldn't do it again not only because it was difficult, but because on psmf you only really lose Max .2-.5 pounds more per week then a regular 2 pounds a week. In the end is Calories In Vs Out. One thing it will help you with is when you go back to cutting even 1500 a day will seem like your in heaven. Be careful for rebound Binge. Its real believe me. Good Luck. P.s If you get tired of it dont go out and binge eat at maintenance instead and go back to regular cutting take whatever days you did psmf as a jump start.

You're 241 lbs, you have absolutely no need to do this.
I bet it wasn't that long a go at all that you were happy to stuff your face with any old junk?
So why go from one extreme to another as far as your diet is concerned?
IMO you would be far better off eating a certain amount of calories per day and sticking to it. I'm on my second ever cut (cutting at 1900 cal) and it's a lot easier than my first as I've discovered meal that are filling that fit my macros. I don't get that hungry and just miss the occasional bit of junk food.
By doing this you're setting yourself up to fail, don't make losing fat any harder than it needs to be.

4 weeks? I'd strongly recommend 10 days followed by 1-2 days at maintenance cals, and repeat. Otherwise your hormones are going to be fighting against you the whole time. You'll probably not feel too great to say the least. A good setup for falling off of the wagon completely.

OP i did it for 3 months lost close to 30 pounds, It was totally mind game, completely mind over matter, its not easy but you can drop fat quick which helps keep you motivated, all the side effects people told me i would get i pretty much never got, strength loss was minimal genuinly wouldn't say it was much more than a regualr cutting diet, loss of sex drive? no way. as i say its a mind game some people will crumble mentaly which will lead to bad results from having no energy to work out etc, but if you can overcome the mental side and stay motivated a positive attitude is all you need to keep going hard in the gym heres a comparison from when i did it, i stopped at this point to start lean bulking. i wish i had taken some pics a week or so after as my muscles where depleted as fuawk at the end but within a week seemed to blow back up.

So you lost 30 lbs in 3 months right, how much could you have lost in 3 months by just having a 20% or even 25% deficit?
After you calculate what the difference is, is that number worth all the side effects?
Also, lack of sex drive is not a mind thing when it comes to this.
For every 1 person that claims they were successful on PSMF how many do you suppose fail? 20, 50, 100? The odds are never in the favor of the person trying it, it's not even close.

I eat regular meals everyday to lose weight. i just do it smartly.
Its not like I have to tough it out for 4 weeks, I have been doing this all year.

Nothing against you doing this, but be sure you know about long term management of weight loss and body fat. You cannot go back to how you used to eat.

I don't believe most people on 20-25% deficits drop 2.5 lbs consistently every single week i ceartainly don't i loose around a pound on a good week i have to drop my calories very low to loose faster than that, The only people loosing 2.5 pounds every single week consistently are seriously over weight, i was fat indeed but not super fat. My sex drive was fine, energy levels fine my lifts didn't suffer much which surprised the hell out of me. I belive most people faily because they are not mentally prepared, they go into it thinking they are going to loose all their muscle, loose their sex drive and are worried about all the other negative side effects they read on the internet, that alone sets anybody up to fail. You can be bulking and go through a stressful time in your life and lose motivation and energy based on your negative thoughts.
Anyway this diet was just an experiment for me, my results where contrary to what 99% of people told me would happen, im not here to recomend it or put people off just here to share my results.

Well good luck with it but it took you years to get this fat and you're trying to lose it like yesterday.
I know from my journey I find it a lot easier to stay on the wagon if it's easy. Eating 1900 cals with IF isn't that difficult for me as I eat a lot of volume.
Try to think of this as a new lifestyle choice and it becomes a whole lot easier.

Under no circumstances am I trying lose it like yesterday, nor am I expecting to.
However if I can do this for a month with some free meals and the odd refeed if i need it as per lyles book. If I can lose close to 14-16 lbs in that time and then move to a sensible deficit surely that will give me a good platform to continue with the weight loss along with the motivation of watching the scales move so quickly.
