Honestly surprised this hasn't happened sooner.
I hope they only implement these robots in the chains where people protested for $15/hr. Want a raise? How about we just terminate you instead?

You know what happens when you take millions of people, snatch their jobs and leave em hungry? It may create more tech jobs but it certainly will create more people willing to do whatever it takes to get that next meal as well. For those thinking it's not a big deal I surely hope you don't live in a state where you can't buy a gun. It's all fun & games until those 4 million people that work in that industry can't figure out a way to eat.

Our issues are social more than economical imo... People just acting primitive, ie my life is more important than everybody else's, everybody else is dumb, etc
There's enough resources, happiness, and private space to go around. The 6.5 billion world population could fit in the state of Texas. There's plenty of space. But there's just a selfish attitude, and a wasteful lifestyle. Things are going to get worse way quicker than better, because we refuse to work together, and form a peaceful boycott to take down the corrupt government that is raping us, so that we can live in harmony and tranquility.
Tldr: DIVIDE AND CONQUER IS HAPPENING TO US

This is called progress. While you dislike that People won't be making money, you forget the fundamental rule of a business is not to create jobs for people.... but to make profit. If you can reduce your labor costs, and only have to pay a power bill... this is the most efficient thing ever. THE PRICE OF FOOD WILL DROP SIGNIFICANTLY. you could possibly see higher quality food standards for less costs!. Picture a Hamburger at mcdonalds with 90/10 beef, fresh cut veggies, and it only costs about 1.50. What do you have against progress?
