Nothing to lose.
Many countries east of EU (and some of us in EU as well) either have nothing to lose or are starting to realize that there isn't much else to lose, when your government is corrupt and you start thinking about your life 20-30 years from now on and see no hope for improvement - what exactly do you do? Suck it up? These people have no hope anymore, they don't give a fuk.
Easy to talk when you're on the outside, but do you have any idea what it feels like to have no future? To work for nothing? To have your salary cut back year after year? To lose your pension? This is the situation right now.
Europe is falling apart in many cases, but to say Ukraine is in a better place with keeping up ties with Russia? How delusional are people in this topic? Must you really comment on everything?

Why do people keep saying this? It has been on CNN's main page pretty often, and if you go on the CNN page and then world there are multiple stories on it.
Go to MSNBC click world and there are stories on it. Same with Fox News. The Economist writes on it weekly. New York Times has stories on it under the World section.
What else are you expecting? Stories posted on ********?

all of the great things done throughout history have been due to the dovetailing of two forces a) good will, and b) self interest
the marshall plan? good will and aelf interest. allowing skilled jews to immigrate from nazi germany? good will an self interest. etc etc etc
good will provides the idea. self interest provides the motivation
And you're saying that ukraines dont want US assistance? say that again when the opposition topples the govenment but nobody will recognize them as a sovereign government if the US doesn'tManifest Density

Because the US government throughout time has successfully led the people of USA to believe that a two party system is democratic, so nobody questions the fact that you can only choose between two parties that hates each other with a force that could cause a civil war.
The US isn't a democracy, a two party system is not a balanced political system and USA is dragging itself down with it's 200 year plus constitution, which is a constitution that should have been renewed over ten times since it was first written, according to Thomas Jefferson himself.
I think that many citizens of the US just don't see anything wrong with having to choose between radical guntoters and radical reformists. And people cling to their constitution and their bill of rights as it was their dying mother, not realising that the founding fathers would have shaken their head in disbelief as to how it was used today.
I could go on, but that would not be staying on the subject of revolutions. The US just managed to make people believe that choosing between two sides is democracy, and people just take too much pride in a piece of paper that isn't even valid in it's writer's eyes.

Ukraine, like many countries, has already tried the peaceful protest route. It doesn't work. Ukraine as a country is standing up and saying enough, no more protesting for one day and go back home for a wank, this is the real deal now, it is of extreme importance for the modern world that Ukraine keeps this up and doesn't back down until the people get what they want, it is unfortunate that so much damage is being done in Kiev, but it is a necessary evil, keeping things the way they are is simply guaranteeing that the next generation essentially has no future.

You see, this is what the government in America should be afraid of happening when the people realize how ****ty of a job they are doing and are fed up with it. The US government has done way worse, allowing private corporations to jail people for profit, letting a handful of institutions ruin the worlds economy, and letting it go without punishment. Jesus, Americans should have put on a way better protest than Occupy Wall street, maybe then would the government be forced to change if people actually did something.

What?
The US system was never intended to give complete control to the people. That is the whole point of the electoral college. People seem to think this is some new period of us history dominated by the elites, but this is how the US has functioned since its inception. Arguably this is better than it has been. During the robber baron era even more wealth was concentrated in the elite.

I'm not saying that it's worse than ever now, I'm saying that democracy in the US has been standing still for decades, as bolded in your own post. And pointing out that the electionsystem and electorial college isn't built to support the people's wish is just what I mean with lack of democracy, it's a faulty system that doesn't represent the people's political opinions.(also bolded)
The US parliament system and political system is flawed, as well as the election system, picking a few states have more influence, not by overall votes, but by the majority then getting the most electoral votes and thereby disregarding for example that the majority was a mere .5% higher than the opposition. The electorial college disregards the nationwide popular vote and that is not a democracy, as the land of opportunities USA claims.
It seems as if you are agreeing with me, but your words seems dismissive. Again, no hate on ameribrahs, just voicing my opinions. No hate on the mod
