Well brahs, the Camacho Connecticut ended up being one of my favorite smokes thus far.
It was mostly smooth and creamy but there was a bit of pepper spice on the finish. Not an overwhelming spice but just right in my opinion. Later in the smoke about 1/3 way there I got some hints of citrus.. Definitely a solid medium-body smoke. I really enjoyed this smoke like previously mentioned. Surprisingly, i seemed to like it more than both the Flor De Las Antillas and the Oliva G which have been my solid favorites. It was just a great cigar in general.Last edited by VBogdanovic; 05-31-2014 at 05:57 PM.

I've run into a bit of an issue. my humidor is only now holding about 44%, which has dropped from 65 a few months ago. I have been rehydrating but it's gradually dropped. should I season it again? if so, where should I store my sticks for the time being?

Great weekend all around. Laid new sod around the whole yard. Had a crew of 10 people so it only took 4 hours to lay a 1/2 acre.
Smoked a VSG later that night with my two boys. Life is good brahs.
New Sod
VSG - Still one of my favorites. Love the sun grown wrappers.
The boys. Lab/German Sheppard/Pit mix. Brothers from the same litter.

What's up fellas? Hope everyone is doing well. Congrats jqnmartinez!
Vacation was good. Although, you can't really get drunk on the Bourbon Trail unless you're supplementing with your own stash. Pretty strict rules governing how much they're allowed to let you sample and most make you sit through an hour long tour before you can sample. Which don't get me wrong, the tours were cool, but after a few they're mostly covering the same basics. Would be nice if they offer abridged tours for people that have already done a few. Lots of good sticks were smoked, but I don't have all my pics together yet so I'll have to post the pron later. My phone kept dying because we were using it for gps so a bunch of stuff is on my wife's phone.
My little humidor didn't really survive the trip though. It got dropped at one point which dinged up one of the corners pretty well, but the death blow came on the ride home. We had a bag of ice on the passenger's side floor which must have sprung a small leak and it soaked the carpet pretty well. No one realized how much water there was and I stuck the small humi on the floor for our ride back (~11 hours including stops). So that thing was absorbing water all day through the bottom and the sides were quite warped by the time we got back. No big deal that the veneered sides and such were ruined, but the bottom of the inside where its cedar lined had started to soak up water so I figure the entire thing is a write off (another point in favor of something plastic that you can seal). The humi itself wasn't a big deal to me as I mentioned before, but I did have some cigars in the the humidor that got wet from the water seeping through. I tried air drying all the sticks that were still in the humidor, but the ones that got a little wet were of course CC's without cello so I didn't really want to put them back into my main humidor in case there were any mold issues from the questionable water that was soaking in a car's floor mat for a few days. So the only logical solution I could come up with was to throw out all the cigars that were still in the humi on our way back.
Not srs. I smoked the cubans that actually got wet over the weekend and anything that was in cello I let air out for a day and then put back into my main humidor minus the cello. Definitely the first, and probably the only time I smoke a Cohiba Robo while mowing the lawn. I don't even like to smoke good NC's while mowing.*** Misc Cigar Crew ***
