Will also smoke some sticks in your honor. I don't usually smoke em in the house but during allergy season wife actually likes when I smoke a stick inside occasionally. For whatever reason it clears her head right up.
That ain't bad at all. If I wasn't trying to free up humidor space for cigarfest freebies, I'd jump on it.
Will rep on RC for Diesel deal aware"Luck is the last dying wish of those who want to believe that winning can happen by accident. Sweat on the other hand, is for those who know it's a choice."

it looks OK but based on the story I'd say fake. how does someone acquire two sticks of Monte 2? legit ones will cost about $15 each. possibly her friend picked them up at the resort cigar shop or went to a La Casa del Habano and bought two singles. but really do you think someone would go to a shop to buy a cigar to bring back home for someone who doesn't smoke? possibly but I doubt it. more likely the friend got them from a bartender at the resort or was at a bar and someone was peddling them.
really though, I wouldn't worry about whether they are legit or not. put them in a bag and quarantine them. if they are fake then a good chance they could have beetles. smoke them anyways. some of the fakes are good...some are nasty. only one way to find out

yeah, i think she was even surprised to get them. only thing i can think of is, the professor bought more than just 2 and gifted them to her for some reason. construction on them looks good. i'll be smoking one tonight, so I will report back on whether its good or it sucks

if you are resigned to give it up simply because she doesn't like it...well that's your call. I find it hard to argue with someone who forbids (!) you to do something in moderation that has no adverse affect. ask any doctor who isn't a staunch tobacco nazi (I don't use that word lightly) and he/she will tell you that an occasional cigar is perfectly fine - yes I have friends who are doctors who smoke cigars and I've talked to my GP. aside from that there are many benefits to having an occasional smoke. simply put, I find it purely meditative and that benefit alone cannot be underestimated.

bro just texted me.
CF tickets/shirts/chit arrived today.
As a sidenote, bro is a big guy but I didn't realize he was 3x big. Gonna need to have a talk with my man."Luck is the last dying wish of those who want to believe that winning can happen by accident. Sweat on the other hand, is for those who know it's a choice."

Had a Gurkha Estate Selection that I got in a brown bag sampler, been putting it aside because the first half-inch of the cigar didn't have a wrapper...I thought it was a factory second or something until I googled it and found out it is made like that. Overall good cigar, burned very quickly/pretty poorly though

Cut my smoking down to 1-2 per week now. I was doing about 4-5 a week this winter. I only smoke stuff I really like now and try all the top level stuff. Opus are still one of my favorites but I have been on a Litto Gomez and Padron kick lately. I also really liked the 2015 Fuente Unnamed reserve. The bigger one (Toro) is incredibly good.
