The end bit with Kenny Powers playing "I'm Still Alive" was the point of my post. I'm still alive guys. Just started a new job a couple of weeks back and have been too busy to get on here. Switched to training at 5am, Manu style. Making some squat PR's so all is good. Hope everyone is/are doing well...

04-13-2014, 07:54 AM #7213- Your mindset influences your outcome. It's time to take out phrases like "I can't" or "I don't have time" and replace them with phrases like "I will make the time" and "I will keep working at it until I find a way that works." Success starts with the right mindset and believing in yourself and your dreams.

hows your setup? Bench is taking off for you right now especially someone with a larger frame.
Thanks again for the good wishes fellas. Just doing what I do, and hoping for the best.
Love my carbs too much too, high carb year round crew checking in.
I also have seen (From people who do keto) The sources may really mess them up (stomach wise) or feeling worse.

I prefer fatty foods to carbs so it hasnt been an issue. Hunger is less on keto. I was hungrier yesterday despite higher cals and carbs. Strength hasnt been an issue at all. Biggest issues are bloat and haven't really lost weight.
It may be stress related but i feel more lethargic and less energetic today than all week. Not sure I ever actually got in "keto" yet.
Biggest issue is I prefer foods like ice cream and pizza as opposed to pure carb sources. Anyone just done like a cheat meal instead of pure refeed?PL Log

Original video file corrupted?...
Might be time to get rid of the iPhone.
Nothing but trouble lately.
Had to retake it.
Only managed 1 rep on this one, but better than nothing.

Yeah may do so. I tried to find some of that stoneyfield froyo last night at two publix but no go. Pissed me off because I saw it earlier this week Had sushi last night so that was satisfying.
@Casey. Solid tng rep. I don't get how people bench with head movement. Works for lots but don't think i could do it.PL Log

Totally solid and controlled rep; looked great! gjdm
Looked controlled to me, just because it's tng doesn't mean it's less controlled. While pausing does make the chest do a little bit more work (and obv translates to competition bench which has a pause), if you don't normally train that way than it wouldn't make sense to max out that way. Still counts!

If I do want to throw in something like pizza I do it towards the end of the carbup so the extra fat doesn't interfere with glycogen uptake. It's not the end of the world. You could also switch to more of a TKD style where you time your carbs around your workout and don't have a full carb up day. Breaks it up a bit and you don't end up feeling so crappy.

No need to pause unless you are planning to do PL. It looked very controlled to me. No issues at all.
@master it would be hard for me to do that as I train early and don't have time to eat much before I lift and really dont like too much on me. How do you do the tkd?PL Log
