Apparently I have done everything right up to this point. I have qualified for medicaid, and all bills 3 months prior to my applications would be payed off. Problem is that now that I've been approved they're saying that because I missed some ss appointments (i was not feeling well, was psychotic ) , i do not qualify?? wtf. there's no rule that says that. my mom has been handling this for me but i have a 60 day window to get this payed off and i can't afford to quit like that. im only 21 and this would devastate my life completely, it would ruin my credit score which means i wouldn't be able to get loans for a car , house , etc ,etc.
Someone have any helpful advice??? will rep at the very least, thanks misc

Call Medicaid and explain why you missed the appointments and ask if there is anything you can do. If they say no they wont pay it then
Call the hospital and explain the situation, ask what the lowest amount they will except because you are poor and then ask to be on a payment plan. There are tons of options my dude

Call the Hospital and tell them you can't afford it. Work your way up the chain and tell everyone your situation, they have to work with you by law, and just tell them you can only afford x amount of money a month and voila.
I had the same thing happen to me, and i am currently paying $25 a month on a 3K bill lol pffftHe that cannot forgive others breaks the bridge over which he must pass himself.- Edward Herbert

First off you need to stop letting mommy handle your bills.
SEcond if medicaid won't pay I'd suggest the following:
Go to the hospital and explain you cannot physically pay them this amount but are willing to be on a payment plan until it is paid in full. commence paying 100 dollars a month fo rthe rest of your life. Pretend it's a netflix subscription or some chit.
Id also recommend getting in contact with your local news stations and screaming discrimination to get them moving.

not an accident. long story short, admitted into mental hospital against my own will. never got an explanation why, forced to stay in the hospital for weeks racked up $1000+ a night for a bed and the occasional crackers with juice. doctor who i never met before says im bipolar 5 minutes within meeting me. okay.jpg. get out of hospital 5 days after diagnosis.
