I think his arms need to be bigger, forearms especially. They're nothing like Roelly or Phil. His calves could be bigger too, but I think they just look small because of the massive quads. His back could have better symmetry; there's definitely better backs on stage right now and yes his conditioning needs to be better. There's zero doubt in my mind he will be Mr. O eventually, but he's still young. I have faith he will fix his shortcomings and win the title.

I think that Ramy and Cedric is the future of bodybuilding ie small tapered waistline combined with a good amount of mass.


In the 70s, the top pros were the most muscular people in the world, same as today. People value what is rare and uncommon and difficult to achieve. Being 280 pounds of muscle is very rare and uncommon, same as how it was really rare to be 220 pounds in the 70s.



I don't really understand why people keep saying "big and bulbous" or chit like that about Ramy. Ramy does have shape. I am an artist myself and I can tell what symmetry and proportion is and Ramy is doing well on those counts. What makes you think Ramy has really bad shape? What is your evaluation which leads you conclude that? What bodyparts of him would you prefer to be larger or smaller to make him more proportionate?


Pay attention to the word "proportion". Anything, whether big or small, gigantic or miniscule, may or may not be in proportion. Being smaller does not really mean you have good proportion nor does being larger mean you have bad proportion.


And as for "art of the body", art is a personal decision. Kai Greene is a good artist in his own right and if his ideal physique is 300 pounds of shredded muscle, then who are we to deny his definition of ideal? You may call him a drug addicted, bloated freak show idiot, but he may very well call you an idiot as well.

I think the tapered waist is going to be largely dependent on the drug cocktail they're running. I see the ronnie era as time when these drugs were still being experimented with and bbers were trying to find balance. I absolutely agree about what you said about the future of bbing. I feel like we're witnessing a shift in the judge's tastes. They're favoring more streamlined physique's like Phil. However, there is still a size component which people like Cedric are lacking. Big Ramy poses the biggest threat to Phil.

He's already better than Heath if he hits his conditioning.

Ramy has the same kind of effect with his quads and delts, if he just gets up his forearms to Phil/Roelly/Popeye level. Also Phil's pecs seem really round and they seem to 'pop' , that adds to the cartoon character effect.
