If I say I want to own a gym in the future will they take that as a pro or a con?

Start with telling them your 5 year plan, if that includes owning your own place then so be it. I like to hire people who are ambitious and self-motivated. The more independent and self-sufficient you are as a trainer, the less work I need to do to manage you, which is always a plus.

I know that wouldn't concern me too much. I pretty much know that if/when a trainer leaves my facility they will take their existing clients with them. That's why I pay so well, it keeps the best trainers with me!
