first thing you and your mate need to do is start much closer to the bar. you are like 6 inches away. starting closer to the bar, then lowering your hips until your shins touch the bar then initiating the pull. pull the slack out of the bar as well. i think doing that both will fix a great ton of your issues.

You don't need someone to take you by the hand and walk you step by step to fix your form. Watch some deadlift instructional videos and then come back and watch yours to see where you are messing up. Implement the techniques they talk about in the videos and use them to correct your form.
Getting a personalized critique is something you do AFTER you've spent some time researching it on your own and ALREADY implemented what you've learned. Work on it for a few months and then come back asking for a critique.Experience, not just theory

So you want help I hear... Ok, Here's what you need to do. Keep deadlifting & you will get stronger at it. Form? I could care less there is no perfect form. The lift counted. As far as I'm concered if that was 1000lbs or 500kg & you broke a record using this form not 1 person would've been talking about form. Besides they told me my form was horrible & I deadlift over 600+lbs. Sometimes I wonder if people here even lift. Hell if it makes you fell better look how horrible my form is on this 505lb deadlift

Will count in a meet if you set the bar down instead of dropping it
If you don't fix this chit you will also watch your friends spine escape his anusYouTube: http://www.youtube.com/user/NorthStrongSC

After seeing a hard workout you may want to complain and want others to pity you for the work you have to do. Your mom will pity you. Your girl will pity you. I may pity you, but your competition will not pity you. They will step on you, walk over you and spit on you. Boris Sheiko
