I have a real addiction of buying and opening packs.

I think it has to do with gambling 'I don't know what I'm going to get mentality' which is how it's like when I play blackjack and the casino

I used to be like that, then I realized how much dust I had stored up and that I didn't need packs.. I still have "cravings" every now and then but I set up a prepaid credit cards to bnet and now I have to wire funds to the card then purchase IG, usually give up when I have to login into my banking account

The shaman card looks interesting, might bring back some unused cards like earth elemental (well probably not since BGH is everywhere).

The warrior one idk, looks fun and you could probably build some deck around it, but not sure how competitive it would be.

I'm hoping for cards that will make priest viable again, the 5/6 dragon is pretty good IMO.

A lot of people complain about BGH, but it would suck to play games without it. Anyone else feel this way?

For example, Druid would have a pretty hard time removing big creatures (without using naturalize).

Dr. Balance: forcing people to play with 29 cards and BGH.

He has a good point tho, if it wasn't for warlocks being able to consistently play mountain giants T4, then BGH might not have been needed on a game design level. At least not at 3 mana..

I got a lock down to 10 hp. On turn 6 he drops a sunfury protector 2 mana and a twilight drake 4 mana. He also drops 2 Molten Giants. Now the giants are worth 20 mana -1 mana for each damage he's taken. He didn't have a summoning portal or an alarm-O bot. Were the giants free drops? This guy hacking or is there a bug on the giants I'm not a weir of ?

if he is sitting at 10 hp the molten giants cost zero mana.

Molten giant costs 1 less mana per hp your character has lost. Basically at 10 hp you can play them for free. Because giants work well with the warlock hero power (allows a lot of draw for cheap mountain giants too), people build warlock decks around using cheap giants to essentially overwhelm the opponent. These decks are referred to as variants of 'handlock'

handlock, you wanna do 20 burst dmg in one turn so they can't drop moltens
it's really consistent too, up there with control warrior

started playing shaman 2 weeks ago. super powerful class (almost like it as much as warrior), here is a deck i used for legend. bought golden alakir to celebrate

I haven't played warrior. Forced myself to only play shaman for practice. I love playing face hunters with warrior much more so than with shaman so I don't think it would have been an issue. Rogues and face hunters is free farming for warrior

in january when i finished 38th, i went from 1250 to 38 winning like 25 in a row vs face hunters, pallys, rogues. druid i agree is a bad matchup

At least give me some magicamy drama, that **** is fun to watch unfold.

I don't plan on being competitive, but I enjoy watching the game. And the kind of **** Archon (and others) has been pulling is why hearthstone will stay somewhat stagnant as an e-sport.

I feel bad for the people who actually go through qualifiers and win 20+ games for a spot when this happens. Hard enough to make it through without hitting this kind of roadblocks. Now the 16 players who qualified actually have to play against the people they already beat for one of the 3 spots to the actual event (which will more than likely have some of the same people invited back again should they lose).

And watch Amaz somehow pull some blizzcon points out of his ass for the tournament

Look at Orange, he finally might get some credit after winning IEM, but before that he had a decent showing at the M-house cup and was playing pretty well in the pinnacle2 (iirc) before getting kicked because of DDOS, which when it happened to firebat just delayed the whole tournament because rules don't apply to teammates.


edit: the reason this pisses me off is because that's how I was treated playing MTG (and to an extent CS1.6) locally when I was younger.
