In the current meta it isn't that great... current meta seems to be rush and anti-rush... annoying as fuk IMO. can't play any real fun decks.

i dont know how viable, or great it is, just by appearance i dont think i will ever play it in the near future.
1. i am very inexperienced with shaman
2. pretty sure shamans get dicked in this meta lol
3. brb 3/5 windfury divine shield charge, still doesnt do anything good unless coupled up with a rockbiter, flametongue or whatever.

meta is so disgusting atm. people were crying about hunters, wait till you face miracle rogue 5 games in a row. no viable counterdeck, you just pray to fking god that both his auctioneers are in the bottom 5 of his decks or he will cycle his entire deck in 2 turns and kill you.

Atleast versus hunter you could build board tempo, pressure him, versus rogue it means jackchit since he has an answer for everything.

Except you're wrong. Freeze Mage counters this hard with secrets and spells. Problem is that Mage sucks in Ranked right now because of the hunters and zoolocks.

And yeh.. rogue is very popular now.. miracle rogue was the top class of na by some margin (top15)

As I am playing taunt heavy druid.. and I would say it counters the miracle rogue deck with leeroy.. but not Malygos (leeroy is more popular tho)..

He cant finish you off with the taunts still on the field.. with 3x shadowstep.. key is to make him blow saps/evicerates early.. with yetis etc.. druid of claw and then start rolling out suwalkers.. ancient of war.. I have double mark of the wild also..

And silences for gadgetzen/van cleef if need be

No one else runs taunts really so I can see why it does so great

Shaman is heavily underated.. but with overload mechanic you really need to think and plan more then most classes..

But if you look at the 2 most popular classes (at the end of the last season)

Warlock ZOO.. shaman should smash this.. tons of removal.. frost wolf taunts early

Midrange hunter.. Hunter was the bane of shaman.. but this new version requires board control and less on steady shot.. and it's main minion can be dealt with incredibly easy by shaman.. it's alot closer then before vs aggro hunter..

Then Shaman should beat Control warrior/Druid most of the time

I have a feeling that it maybe terrible vs the Rogues running around atm. but when i played shaman.. Rogues were not that popular

you know i have antonidas, i might d!ck around with this in casual. if only i had alexstraza i always lose to mages playing frozen giants cause i never suspect that's the deck they're playing til the moltens come out. like dis if u cry eretime. i've messed around with a ice lance build that's really fun. with sorcerer's apprentice out the lances cost nothing, and water ele's can freeze enemy hero so frostbolt is good but not required. you can do something like 28 damage + in one turn without spellpower, it's hella fun to play with.

i think a taunt ramp druid counters miracle, but it's situational depending when they draw their saps and if you draw your wild growth's or can accelerate into a nourish. 3 heavy taunt minions is gg, since they can't sac leeroy into the 3rd as that is their finisher. have yet to play a maly rogue but i only got to rank 6 last season and that deck takes skill to play, same with miracle

Yeah i can see that being pretty sick vs miracle rogues.. so glad i was not playing the game pre freeze nerfs the mages got.. sounds like they just controlled you till they finished with pyro and other ****. I have seen mages using antonidas but not that array of secrets/aoe.. which i am quite glad about lol..

I was just saying mage isn't that bad.. that aggro deck is pretty good.. i can imagine it smashing miracle rogue a bit along with it's favorable match vs zoo..

This meta is a bit fuked and random though.. which i kind of like.. Druid has pretty decent match ups vs every1

Just make sure you can handle the mechanic. Whenever I play shaman I always mess up the mana curve.

Do it brah! It's a severely underrated class. I started playing around with a netdeck last night and was surprised at how powerful it is. Seems to have answers for everything.

Concealed Auctioneer? Well let's summon a +1 spell damage totem and lightning storm it, thank you very much. Ragnarok? Oh you mean, Ragnafrog! I've been doing OK against Hunter too, but have to avoid filling the board with totems to feed the Hounds.

The base version I'm running is from Dreamhack and I think it was the dude who finished 2nd who played it... No legendaries and only one epic so pretty cheap to build too. I've been tweaking it a bit to try and adapt to the meta, but I doubt it's really necessary.

oh man, ive climbed from rank 13 or 14 i think to 1 star away from 9 now with the shaman deck from dreamhack (that daniel guy i believe)

it's crazy good. Works almost against everyone, the only ones I have a problem against is Zoo locks, or face hunters if i get a bad starting hand and lightning storm is in the bottom of the deck. Otherwise it does good against everyone basically.
