I hadn't been running arenas in a while, but ran three in the last few days. Here is my observation:

1. Arenas are much easier now than they were a few months ago. I went 9-3, 9-3, and 12-1. I didn't play any better, it just seemed easier. I'm guessing it is due to two reasons: A. New players from the phone release. B. No one is saving gold for an xpac currently. Both of these have led to less experienced arena players currently.

2. Paladins were the most popular class I faced. In my 12 win arena run, of the last 5 opponents 4 of them were paladins.

3. Gold earned seems down. I got 150 gold for each of my 9 wins and 245 for my 12 win run. Probably just some bad luck, but it still sucked.

yeah, think its one of the more consistent decks out there. fib and justsaiyan are both my friends both ran control warrior as well, (slightly less greedy versions of mine though)

I play shaman from day one and it took me until now to get below rank 5... easy to learn hard to master for sure!

priest with no holy nova, 1 shadow word pain, and no shadow word death

mage: no fire balls, no flamestrike, 1 frostbolt, hardly any taunts, no silence

not a single epic/legendary

i mean wtf hardly any functional control spells at all, its impossible

meanwhile I am playing against people who seem to be using constructed decks with taunts, legendary, etc all day every day with extreme synergy. It's madness

arena is not worth it if you have dr boom already, and even if you don't its still not really worth it. im 100% f2p infinite arena player with no legends from Gvg and i rarely play arena... GvG made arena too much aggro RNG face rushing

I've seen lots of midrange in tournaments lately, but ladder is always face :\

I played a few control warrior games this season for quests and I'm tempted to agree. Very consistent and great winrate against aggro.

I got fed up by rush decks so I made a mech mage and got friendlisted/insulted by a face hunter because I played a no skill deck >_< Wish I could've taken screenshots but that pretty much auto-crashes my potato iPad.

if i remember correctly you're a bit new? you need to watch more streamers, i remember arena was very difficult to grasp, what to choose, when to choose, and why...
i played a 11 wins arena just yesterday, no shadow word death, no shadow word pain, 1 nova... its all about synergy, and to be able to take the lead with tempo

For those that play control warrior, why is Baron Geddon almost always included exactly? Is the 2 damage effect really that helpful? Can Geddon be replaced by another big guy easily such as rag or is he really that important in the deck? Would appreciate input by VLPS because your are like the control warrior expert here.

I've dropped probably 500-800. I have almost all relevant legendaries in gold, and try and have most of the staples.

my work and gym life are good but my social life has def been hurting since i starting grinding hearth hard at a competitive level

warrior has difficulty in dealing aoe removal. classes have consecrate, lightning storm, blade flurry, etc. whereas warrior struggles with simply deathbite deathrattle or whirlwind (which imo is not a great card to begin with). i would say barron isnt 100% necessary but dont think rag would be a great replacement, i dont think rag is good at all actually in this meta with zoo, fast mage, fast hunter being prevalent.

Got it, makes sense. Geddon is the only card I do not have for control warrior I was just curious if he was really worth it

Or I could just be unlucky. I've gotten 12 wins about 6 times but none of them since GvG came out.

it was a long time since i used baron for a good amount of games... maybe now is the time. I just think there are too many deathrattles (shredder, belcher, imp gang boss etc) for geddon to be effective. Im on dat dere grom, boom and ysera time now. Ysera is so good right now, love it

The arena meta changed from midrange to early game with gvg. Seriously if you don't have a 2 drop you might as well concede in most Arena games. (exaggeration but still.)

Depends on deck and draws. But usually going first feels like a disadvantage to me if you don't have a 1 drop.
