Was as a keeper from ever since I can remember to the age of about 11 then jacked it in because I was to short for the full size pitches, and winters were brutal. Probably one of my biggest regrets.

Got back into it at about 18 playing 5aside, taught myself how to play outfield, then at 21 finally played for a 11aside team and currently still do - a late bloomer indeed, only sunday league of peace though.

I used to play centre mid. Had a few trials for St Mirrin and Kilmarnock when I was 15-16 but never went any further than that!

That being said I could probably do no more than 40kg.

Damn, you must have been pretty good. Play CM currently, but equally adept on the wing.

The cardio side of things is a bit of a shock, get on and think f*ck me how am I going to last. Normally break through that after 10-15 minutes though and get too engrossed to notice.

Is great fun playing with your bros in 11-aside. Shouldn't be hard to find a low sunday league team and get into the first team.
