**I am Juggernaut 2014**
Hi fellow Juggernauts! I'm Laura, 59 year old muscle head excited to be motivated and motivating in this challenge. I have been lifting for 38 years (!!) since taking a weight training class my senior year at Penn State and have loved every single workout and pound lifted. Lifting has always been a huge part of my life and I derive strength, focus, energy, and a young mind from it. I'm the classic power builder; I've been since I started lifting. My main goal is strength but I love having those bodybuilder muscles too. I compete in benchpress but would like to add deadlift too; just getting started with that. Size does not come easily for me as I have a high metabolism. I don't do bulk-ups or cuts, I just eat well With hardly any junk food and I aim for 110 grams of protein a day. I try to center on a particular body part I want to improve usually with more reps or sets. Right now I'm working on calves and some calisthenics- push-ups and pull-ups. Am excited to share experiences and journeys with many of you. Will post my first workout in a bit. Good luck everyone!!

One-arm dumbbell rows
40x8

55x8
Pull-ups- done between sets of pull-downs- 17, 14, 11
Cable pulldowns
100x8
110x8
120x8
130x7
Hammer Strength pulldown
75 each side x10
80 each side x10
85 each side x8
Dip machine supersetted w/ bench dips
100x10 ss 10
105x10 ss 10
110x10 ss 10
Dumbbell extensions

100x8
110x8
120x8

Rope pushdowns
65x8 drop set 55x8
60x8 drop set 50x8
Got a PR on the one-arm rows with 55s and T-bar rows with 120. Back is my favorite bodypart to work. I had a good back pump going by the time I was done with pulldowns and even my whole arms were buzzing along. My triceps always get very pumped from the rope pushdowns. A great workout today that had me exhausted by the evening.
A good weekend to everyone!Training log:

Hey Laura, I'm not sure how many of us over 50's there are here in the challenge, but I know we are bringing our best to these kids! When you compare our workouts they're just as tough, and we are hitting the weights just as hard as some people half our age, and I think that's pretty cool!
And I'M HAVING A BLAST!ERIC WHITEHEAD

Thank u Credz
Thanks Gym Girl. I love pushing the heavy stuff; that's the challenge to me. Well, feel free to tap into that experience if u need any help girl.
Thanks Sohei. Ohhh, the J nicknames are cracking me up already!
I can assure u Eze, and ur only halfway there, age has no boundaries. I lift the same weights i did when I was 30. with the exception of bench and I'm making my way there. Age brings its stereotypes, so let's blow those out of the water now brother!
I'm not gonna be a wallflower in this party so I'm catching ur fever. Glad ur having a blast!Training log:

Thanks EZ! That's the way this girl likes it. Go heavy or go home, right? Srs, light weights would bore the crackers out of me; I need a challenge! Hope you're keeping it heavy for your workouts this week! I'm not a big eater so pretty easy for me to stop. I hear ya tho.
Thanks for stopping stopping in Kennknee.

Thank u. Actually I'm a grazer Gym Girl. I just eat every 1 1/2-2 hours, but small meals to keep the metabolism up. I cut out every piece of junk for one year when I went back to lifting intensely 2 years ago. Now I have a few sweets here or there but never chips or empty calories. I try to keep it clean. You're doing great Girl with getting back to size 6! Keep consistent, head into the wind!

Well I have lots of love to go around... Trail mix is my go-to snack, dat proteinz, fruit and bit of sweets. U could do those in the decline bench for that good stretch. I would but my daughter's junk is all over it...I do them on the floor but reach back far. I got a set of obliques doing that in about three months. Doesn't appear u need much help on that.
Ohhh...that avi, Mr Shook!Training log:
