Helloooo,
I was wondering if some of you might be able to tell me what my body fat percentage is and if possible, how long would it take to acquire more definition in my mid section (abs, pecs, etc.) I weigh right now about 183-185 lbs...it fluctuates a lot. I'm 5'11" tall. I workout with weights around 4-5 days a week and do muay thai probably 3-4 days a week. I'm not sure if my routine would help you determine my progress in the future but as of right now:
Monday-Chest/arms/back - heavy
Tuesday-Legs/shoulders - hard abs
Wednesday-Chest/arms/back - lighter, higher reps
Thursday-Legs/shoulders - hard abs
Friday-Chest/arms/back - even lighter, even higher reps
(I do abs in muay thai but it's hardly moderate. I've been doing just the ab ripper x workout at home - I can actually feel my abs being worked on when I do that. Only twice a week though)
I know a lot of people say that abs is all about diet and cardio. I feel my diet is very clean but should I eat less carbs and maybe run when I lift? I sweat balls everyday in muay thai so I'm not sure that I need much more than that.
I came through a lot of progress since September, I had absolutely no definition on my stomach, my arms looked big, not defined whatsoever. I probably weighed 30 lbs more than I do now. February will be 5 months, maybe I'll post a transformation post then.
My goal in the long run is to look half decent by the time the nice weather comes around without a shirt on. I would say I'm close, and I know it's only January but I've been tearing it up since September and I have no intent on stopping until I reach my goal, and then some!
Thanks gents...
TM

I'm no expert, but I'd put your BF in the mid to high teens. You are doing great having lost 30lbs, but before you think about getting defined abs, etc, I think you need to build up some more lean mass. Maybe continue cutting until you're down to ~12%, then clean bulk, then cut. TBH, I think decent, defined abs are a ways off yet. Gotta build em up before you can cut em down.
BTW "in the long run" is not measured in terms of months or even seasons in this game, but in years.Last edited by CKBB; 01-16-2014 at 06:15 PM.
