I think that in most scenarios it is wasted mental energy to think about closing the dust cover before one moves. The minuscule chance of getting a malfunction from debris doesn't outweigh the waste of energy in closing that cover.

If you are shooting and advancing on the enemy you want to commit as much time to shoot/move/communicate as possible. Closing a dust cover just strikes me as extraneous.

All the reviews I've read of the tapco version says they're crap, and not as good as the original 74 style brake.

Compared to my stock slant brake, the tapco ak74 style ak brake is heavenly.

The cool thing about a slant brake is that you can use the standard bayonet. If there's a way to attach a bayo to the 74 brake, I haven't figured it out yet.

EDIT: I've decided the trigger on my Bulgarian Arsenal SLR 101 is significantly crappier than on my other AKs. How hard is it to change an AK trigger group?

Also, took one scoop and did not died. Stim resistance of peace but I didn't feel any stim jitters. I did hit the cardio better than usual though, and way better than with tmac's meth-laced Craze. I'll up the dosage for National Chest Day workout this evening.

The tapco slotted brake I linked earlier lets you still use the bayonet as well. The 74 brake does not as far as I know.

I do in case I'm running and and fall or have to dive. Takes less than a second so why not

Saw Mr.GunsnGear's review of the damage industries muzzle brake on youtube and it's suppose to function better than the tapco brake at around the same price range.
