lol lets just say that trusting a cannelure for seating depth is stupid. My COAL went from 3.249 to 3.199 after adjusting it to just touching the lands. I'm pretty much a newb to reloading rifle cartridges and really overlooked that part. I had a couple different groups that were around 1 MOA (which is nothing special at all) but realized that my shiitty luck is probably because I had the bullet rammed too far into the riffling

I always stick with saami specs when working up loads. You can adjust seating depth and everything else later on. Some bullets like a jump and some like to sit just off the lands.

Edit: make sure to check your casings for signs of over pressure if they were jammed into the lands

Interesting, I load SST's in .243 and .277 and never had that problem.

I wonder if you might have a chamber with a short throat (too many jokes here).

stay safe brah. If it's for hunting application just load them to 3.29 COAL and start fresh

None of the cases had signs of over pressure, I even stayed .3 under max charge for that load. It's basically seated just above the cannelure now where the lands just barely touch the ogive. I think the majority of my confusion is because I use the cheap ass Lee cause gauge to trim and not a regular trimmer. It trims them to 2.494, which is long for most manuals. That and I assume it's a short chamber throat. Everything has been within spec and zero signs of over pressure but just not that great if results as far as accuracy goes.....yet

Yes, And all the cases are right at 2.494 or a heavy 2.493. I really need to just buy a regular fukking trimmer lol

Thanks guys. I'm trying to get my **** together and she became a big part of the reason after her and I started dating. But basically, my girlfriend has been spending a lot of time away from me these last 9 days. Usually staying at a 50 yr old's house for a night or two at a time. She went back to his house last night and now is going back to her friends house an hour and a half away. This friend is also friends with her ex bf who keeps trying to get back with her. She also wants ME to take her to this girls house. We are now in an argument over text messaging.

-I asked her where she wanted me to take her stuff.
-She didn't get the hint that quick.
-When she did, she gets pissed and starts to put me down.
-I informed her that she spends way more time staying the night at other peoples homes and she gets even angrier with me about it.
-Now she is telling me that I am not a man, that I was trying to control her and she is a wild animal not a bird that can be caged.. blah blah blah.
-She told me she wasn't going to leave me, I can't just kick her out. That I have to give her 30 days by law.
-Then she said to drop her stuff off tomorrow but didn't say where.
-Has only replied to me once to say... "I don't know what I want now. All I was trying to do earlier was ask you if you would take me over to Allies house, MY BEST FRIEND. Than ypu were mean and Rude to Me. So I was a Bitch in Return. I am going back to sleep. I just woke up to use the BATHROOM. Ttyl"

Funny thing is, she apparently has about 5 best friends, only one she has introduced me too. The rest of her friends, she doesn't want knowing that I am her boyfriend. Her excuse, because she doesn't want her ex and her family knowing about me and where she is at.
