It just bothers me how HK modifies their original models because they "aren't for sporting use" and neuter them to make it a pain in the ass to just get what you want. Buy some expensive as fukk HK just to drop more into it to make it resemble what it should have originally been? No thanks.

Damn. Check out those test scores. When I think of "charter school", I think of it being something special. This school is just special ed...
For science, they had 2% of their students pass. This, coupled with the fact that the two injured students were taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center, is quite ironic and humorous.
They were also playing basketball, but it appears that it was inside of the school.*MFC Illuminati*

Hollywood is noted for its Democrat base, with such power and money behind it that Hollywood helped launch Barack Obama into the presidency by most accounts. Now, Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein wants to take that firepower and make a liberal film that will make the National Rifle Association “wish they weren’t alive after I’m done with them.”
Mega producer Harvey Weinstein is known for Miramax pictures. He was interviewed on the Howard Stern radio show when he said this. He went on to say, “I don’t think we need guns in this country and I hate it, and I think that the NRA is a disaster area.”
Ironically during the interview on Howard Stern, Weinstein and Stern were discussing their shared history and the impact the Holocaust had on the Jewish people. He spoke in favor of guns on this topic, but didn’t seem to connect the issue of then and now. He said, “When you’re marching a half a million people into Auschwitz, I’d find a gun if that was happening to my people.”
Weinstein is the co-founder of Miramax Films and is from New York. He’s famous for producing award winning films such as “Shakespeare in Love”, “Pulp Fiction”, and “The English Patient.” He’s known for activism in the areas of poverty, AIDS, juvenile diabetes, and MS.

LOL . . . Harvey Weinstein hates guns and gun violence . . . wants to get rid of them. Produces Pulp Fiction, The Crow, Django Unchained, Inglorious Basterds, etc.

This story always interested me, amazing he lived so long.Friday night. Date night in Miami. Every night is a date night in Miami, and everyone's having sex. But for me, sex never enters into it. I don't understand sex. Not that I have anything against women, and I certainly have an appropriate sensibility about men, but when it comes to the actual act of sex, it's always just seemed so undignified. But I have to play the game.

Dammit you're going to make me spend money!
I never thought of the factory trigger on my Stag AR as bad. (My AR is the only one I've ever shot)
Then when I was at the range last week a guy there let me shoot his AR with a CMC Tactical trigger and it was amazing.
I've been fighting the urge to buy a trigger for the past week!*MFC*

CONCEALED CARRY KILLERS: Individuals legally allowed to carry concealed handguns are responsible for more than 550 Deaths including 27 mass shootings since May 2007 according to the Violence Policy Center.
The latest update of the Center's Concealed Carry Killers database follows the fatal shooting of a Florida father inside a movie theater allegedly at the hands of a concealed carry permit holder.
You can access the database here: http://bit.ly/1eUuKbD
o comprehensive data exists on non-self defense killings by private citizens legally allowed to carry concealed handguns. Concealed Carry Killers offers examples from May 2007 to the present of such incidents, which are taken from news reports and the limited state data available. These examples are only an unknown fraction of the unreported number of similar incidents that routinely occur across the nation.
Currently, Concealed Carry Killers documents 397 incidents in 33 states and the District of Columbia resulting in 554 deaths. In 82 percent of the incidents (325) the concealed carry killer committed suicide (133), has already been convicted (142), perpetrated a murder-suicide (38), or was killed in the incident (12). Of the 57 cases still pending, the vast majority (47) of concealed carry killers have been charged with criminal homicide, four were deemed incompetent to stand trial, and six incidents are still under investigation. An additional 15 incidents were fatal unintentional shootings involving the gun of the concealed handgun permit holder. At least 14 of the victims were law enforcement officers. Twenty-seven of the incidents were mass shootings, resulting in the deaths of 128 victims.
Background
In 1996 at a Dallas, Texas, press conference, Tanya Metaksa, then the executive director of the National Rifle Association's Institute for Legislative Action, promised, "As we get more information about right-to-carry, our point is made again and again...People who get permits in states which have fair right-to-carry laws are law-abiding, upstanding community leaders who merely seek to exercise their right to self-defense." This assertion, summarized by Metaksa in the blunt and absolute assertion that "these citizens don't commit violent crimes," was a key factor when state legislatures debated weakening concealed weapons laws to allow private citizens to carry concealed handguns in public. Had the NRA informed policymakers that concealed handgun permit holders would routinely be killing law enforcement personnel and perpetrating, rather than preventing, mass murders and other gun homicides few legislators--applying Metaksa's own standard--would have voted in favor of such laws.
These unfounded assertions are repeated to this day. In a September 28, 2010, opinion piece on Foxnews.com, concealed carry advocate John Lott asserted, "Fears about accidents and rampages by permit holders, and blood running in the streets however never materialized where concealed carry has been allowed."
Such false claims are endlessly repeated by pro-gun advocates in their ongoing efforts to expand the carrying of concealed handguns into bars, churches, schools, and places of employment. In addition, the gun lobby has been successful at hiding the truth about crimes committed by concealed handgun permit holders by forcing most states to keep secret the identities of permit holders. As a result, until recently, the false claims made by pro-gun advocates regarding these "upstanding community leaders" have been left unchallenged.
In 2009, the Violence Policy Center began an ongoing research project to identify killings from May 2007 to the present involving citizens legally allowed to carry concealed handguns. Because detailed information on such killings is not readily available, the VPC is forced to rely primarily on news accounts for reports of such killings and subsequent legal proceedings.
Above is the current tally from May 2007 to the present of killings involving persons with concealed carry permits or who committed a killing in public with a legal handgun in a state that allows concealed carry without a permit (Alaska, Arizona, and Vermont allow the carrying of concealed handguns without a permit). The killings are broken out by specific categories and a killing may fit into more than one category. Because the VPC relies primarily on news reports for the majority of incidents, the actual numbers are most likely far higher. This tally is updated monthly. Clicking on each category's tally will link you to vignettes describing the circumstances for each killing, listed by state. The descriptions also include the current, known status of any charges filed against the permit holder as well as noting instances where the perpetrator committed suicide.
The Violence Policy Center welcomes any new information regarding the status of any case (with verifiable source(s)). Any new information or corrections to the information contained in the database will be posted in the next monthly update.

After using a geissele, I'll never use anything else again. I didn't think there could be that much difference in a trigger until I finally shot with one. Probably the best thing you can change to improve your shooting experience.
No mods to a GI trigger or any other options out there come close to geissele. It's like a ferrari compared to a fiat.

^^^I've crunched the numbers on those VPC "stats" before when debating anti-gunners, and it basically works out to where the odds of being killed by a CCW holder are lower than the odds of being struck by lightning.
Not exactly the wild west fantasy that liberals seem to talk about when discussing concealed carry.*MFC*

Oh, lawd . . . the potato of it all. >1/4 involved suicide--and I suppose that a murder-suicide constitutes a "mass shooting". Perhaps we should ban rope and sleeping pills, too? Given the size of the U.S. population, the number of deaths via ccw holders is practically zero statistically.

I've been throwing around the idea of a geissele.
I've seen them mentioned in MFC for a while but never really thought much about triggers. Then I shot the AR with the CMC and realized what big difference a trigger can make.
I'm not sure which one I would buy IF I decide to get one though. The SSA is supposed to be great but I've never shot any 2-stage triggers. The 3 gun trigger is supposed to be awesome too but they don't recommend it for a defensive gun since its so light and unforgiving. Then again I have excellent trigger discipline so I'm not sure how much that matter :/*MFC*

its definitely snobbery on their part. the irony is that a pistol grip offers no tactical advantage over a thumbhole stock, so using the thumbhole stock only really serves to make the gun less appealing. but like i said man, the pics dont quite do it justice, its alot cooler when you're actually holding it in your hands. when i pick it up, il take some close up pics of it, which will more accurately show the detail of the rifle. it really is bad ass.
il be honest though, the USC isnt cheap, but it certainly isnt crazy expensive either

I thought my AR trigger was just fine. Then I bought a Geissele SSA. It was very nice. Then I assembled a second AR with that same original trigger in it and when I shot it I was like...**** this sucks. So for me the biggest difference is getting used to the Geissele and then having to go back to a regular GI trigger.
One? You'll get sucked into buying more than one.
