Hi guys, I'm 26 years old, I used to be a very heavy drinker, I would drink 6 to 8 beers everyday for years, I have now quit alcohol since new years day, 12 days sober, never drinking again. I have started lifting, running etc. I have low testosterone symptoms, very little sex drive, can't grow facial hair (only some on my chin and top lip), low energy, man boobs, I know this is down to the heavy drinking, since alcohol lowers testosterone, is this reversible? How long will it take for these symptoms to reverse, if they they can?

I have low T and am getting injections for it and even I can't answer your questions. Talk to your doctor, even though you have some low T symptoms, it very well could be something else as many symptoms are common among many problems. Talk to your doctor and get a blood test.

How heavy/tall are you. If you're severally overweight you could be getting low T for any number of issues in your body.

8 beers a day and you stopped like two weeks ago. I think it is quite normal that you don't feel very fit for some time. You should keep exercising and eating a healthy diet and see if you improve. I don't know about the facial hair thing, some don't have it at all. Anyway, keep living healthy and if you don't improve you might want to get yourself checked.
