Why do my muscles tighten up during workouts sometimes?

I mean to the point of I cant do very many reps. They feel full, but I have less strength. Is this caused by not drinking enough water during the day? Or too much caffeine that day? or?

Sounds like a water issue but normally if my muscles are getting tight in the during my workout it's called a "pump" fatigue always sets in.

If they feel "full" then that's called a pump.

Having "pump" is cool, except It was feeling so tight I couldnt do reps, and about halfway thru my workout, i started losing strength. whats the point of pump if its detrimental to my workout?

Maybe you performed too many reps or too high volume. Or are you just new to training? Because you're body will eventually adapt to your current workout routine (assuming you perform a similar routine workout to workout) and eventually the pump won't be so detrimental.

Apart fatigue and pump thing, most of ppl dont stretch muscles after workout, it can lead to shortened muscles and thus less strenght, endurance and vulnerability to injury. If youre stretching AFTER workout i wouldnt worry,

I stretch before and after. Pump would be great if I was about to pose for a competition, but I dont do that. I just workout to look better, feel better, keep my weight in check and get stronger. Ive used various pre's, from jacked to assault to craze.. now C4. I think Assault is closest to C4 of the pre's Ive used, and Ive never had this kind of tightness/weakness before. I wish they still sold craze, always a clean energy, positive attitude, no crash or tightness/weakness.

2 questions: any idea what is causing this feeling for me?

Anyone know what the plan is for craze? they reformulating?

It maybe the nitrates. I don't think Craze will be coming back any time soon (if ever).
