problem is you think youv been dedicated to the gym when you probably havent been. Go in 5-6 days a week 1.5-2 hours a session, eat eat eat, and get your sleep.
Im not talking about going in for 2 hours and chatting it up with your friends, Im talking about actually working your ass off the entire time your in there.

Well I bench 225 x 8, I think I did 225 for the first time back in april or May. And i can squat 295x5 for 3 sets
Black shirt doesn't make much difference
I am though. I do go 5-6 days a week and it usually takes me 1.5 hours to do all the lifts while being intense. I get enough food and enough sleep. None of my friends lift at the same time as me...

OP, using this as a calorie calculator, I put in the following details since it's what you've said:
6'1, 195 lbs, probably about 14% bodyfat
Lifting 5-6x a week, so moderately active
Maintenance cals - 3126
To gain 1lb per week - 3600 cals
You ain't gaining because you're eating at maintenance, mang.
EDIT - also, I realise you said that on about 4k cals you got fat....well, that's because that'd probably have had you gaining near 2lbs a week. Hell, if you really wanna gain lean, eat about 3,300 cals consistely, that should be around half a pound per week.
Point is that there's a middle spot between what you're eating now and what you were eating before that will let you gain without getting fat.
Also, should point out that while you're not a titan, you're not small either. Looks like you may have a wiry build, but either way you could always up the cals some to see what changes come about.Last edited by TheJimmyRustler; 01-11-2014 at 12:49 PM.

Do you even natty?
This cat remained lean and put on 30lbs in 3 years. That's 10lbs a year average and as a natty you won't gain much more than that in a year. I'd hazard a guess the largest % of those gains came in the first 18 months.
Nikkas on here frauding natty and the fitness industry has totally f*cked over people's expectations.
The guy has made good progress but at 6'1, it was always going to take a long time to fill the frame out, naturally.

U dun goofed 100% srs
You've been lifting for 3 years natty and still aren't satisfied with where you are. Get used to it
Natty lifting is chit. It's not gonna get any better. Do yourself a favor and to save yourself from even more disappointment, don't chase after a certain person's physique and look. Just worry about competing with yourself... Otherwise you're never gonna be satisfied because chances are you'll be chasing after something that someone obtained with the help of gear#FreeCryptoBandit

I've had a lot of family, health, and life issues in general lately. Just starting to break free from most of the hardships I've had in the past 3 years. When I start back up again possibly sometime this year, I will not stop. I'll show you what a knowledgeable hard working natty can accomplish.

Holy chit... Avi is 3 years old brah. Haven;t lifted since then. That was like 3 months progress. That's my whole fuking point. If I got those results 3 years ago when I knew nothing, what kind of results could I get with what I know now?
Edit: I completely understand where you're coming from though. You're right, I should practice what I preach before I criticize.Last edited by l2ambo; 01-11-2014 at 01:46 PM.
