Barbell curls lying against and incline bench?

How do you guys find this exercise? I never put my arms in this position while doing bicep curls, I know muscles respond to variety but could there be any other benefits from doing this exercise.

Do what you feel the most. If you feel the contraction more on a incline bench, do them. If not, try something different.

If you mean lying with your sternum against the pad, it emphasizes stress on the brachialis, because the shoulder is in flexion, which partially inhibits the short head of the bicep.

If you mean lying with your back against the pad, it emphasizes stress on the biceps, because the shoulder is in extension.

I think you are talking about "Preacher Curl". Just wondering if it's comfortable enough for you to do it on bench press seat width ?

Defiantly not talking about preacher curl. Sternum against pad so opposite way than usual.

Lying facedown on the incline bench and coming all the way up I've found to be excellent for biceps. It reminds me of spider curls and feels good! Can't use a lot of weight though

He's talking about the Spider / Scott Curl, which you can achieve by facing the opposite way on a preacher curl station as well.

IMO, it is very similar to the lying incline curl (laying on an incline bench and using dumbbells), but I prefer the Scott/Spider curl as it allows me to use a barbell and I see to focus on the peak contraction more.
