Sorry but this is retarded. You obviously have no idea what you are doing. You have trained inconsistently for years and wouldn't even know how to properly "lean bulk" once you reach that level. All your going to do by cutting down more is make that process longer. Get your ass in gear and in tune now with eating and lifting properly and abs will come as a result. I don't have a "6pack" but abs come as you progress no matter what.

Need to do a clean bulk brah. I know it's been said, but that's the only way you're going to look the way you want I'm guessing. Trying a routine that incorporates some strength training as well as hypertrophy. PHAT is great, and gives a good all around approach. I would do that for a solid 6 months at least. Then try a slow, and I mean SLOW cut. High intensity cardio twice a week. Think 10-15 second full speed sprints for 8 sets, about 2 mins in between sets. That is HIIT. Anything more than 15 mins, and it becomes LISS.

homey if you've been working out for years... I dont know dude. You really should just suck it up and bulk then cut. I dont know how else you're gonna get dem abs. 154 at 5'10 is miniscule.
gl bro. I decided to bulk last year. Was about your size. Got up to 192. Now cutting (at 187.6) I should be good and shredded around 178 (180 with glycogen)Its not how strong you are, its how good your aim is from 500 yards.

Heh I was in your spot a few years back. Was thinking I was "shredded" with a barely passable 6-pack at around 148 pounds. Spend almost the past two years lean bulking non-stop and now I'm at 190 lbs still relatively lean. Been cutting since Jan 1st, cant wait till this summer!

I feel better overall now for sure. I will never go back down to that weight. I feel like a beast now and just lol at my old self especially for thinking I was "big" back then. I can rep the amount now that I was maxing at on bench when I was 148. In the end, I am hoping to cut down to around 170 and be just as lean as I was when I was 148. I really didn't put on a ton of fat either, I am probably 16% now and I was probably 10% then. After this spring cut, I will look 50 times better than I did before I started my bulk.

I know your feel brah. being skinny fat sucks because you want to be shredded but you also need mass. Alot of people say just to bulk up but that will end up in just looking more fat. I agree with you on getting shredded and then have a lean bulk life style. its much easier to manage

I started bulking around October 28th and have gained around 7 pounds. ive put on a bit of fat but not much. I do seem to be holding a lot more water though going from eating 150 carbs a day to over 400. I just try and gain around a half pound a week and keep my lifts improving.
ive only been lifting around a year and for the first 9 months of it i was cutting i originally started losing weight at around 260 and started lifting at 212 and cut down to 153. i ran stronglifts for about 6 months until i used my noob gains and the weight started crushing me and i started losing muscle then switched to some dumb push pull bro split 5 days a week for the rest of my cut. i lost a lot off my lifts with the bro split and cutting too hard. ive been running icecreamfitness 5x5 ever since i started bulking a few months ago and got my lifts back up to 180 5x5 bench 240 5x5 squat 295 for a working set deadlift and 105 5x5 ohp. i hate bro splits and really like strength training. hoorah.

How heavy did you get up to? I doubt you've looked "chunky" if you're 154 now. Starting to think you may have a case of body dismorphic disorder. Srs. Kind of like how women psychologically struggle with bulking, because gaining weight is "bad". Not comparing you to a woman persay, so don't worry... but that psychological effect is still prevalent in men too.

The reason you have been training inconsistently/chitty is because your goal is just "aesthetics."
It can be motivating at first to think you're gonna look good on the beach, but to actually get significant size and look good, its going to take a long time(unless cell tech). "Aesthetics" is a chitty goal long term. You'll never gain size if as soon as you get a little bloated you go do 2 hours of cardio.
Set some real goals for yourself. ie: Bench/squat/dead 2/3/4 plates and eventually 3/4/5 plates and so on. Getting "shredded" quick for some self validation is not going to motivate you to keep working out as you get older. Stop being a pu$$y and set some real goals for yourself.

You increase the percentage of atrophe to fat ratio when you cut at an already low body weight. By increasing your overall size, you not only increase your abdominal hypertrophy (bigger, stronger abs) you increase the amount of mass you have which makes it easier to get to a weight where your abs will show up while still having the rest of you not look like a starving ethiopian.
Yeah, severe body dysmorphia is pretty much the number one reason guys hop on bikes when they're not competing in an athletic competition. Its not how strong you are, its how good your aim is from 500 yards.

I got up to about 202-204 pounds. Lifts were all up equitably. I am sure I have body dysmorphia to an extent. However, I am fully aware that I look better than the average joe off the street. However , I compare myself to other lifters on this site who have amazing physiques. This is what motivates me. And not to mention , I would rather hold myself up against people who have gotten further than me than people who don't care about lifting at all.
