Thanks so much!!
They only announced the top 5 girls - and I was not one of them.
Plus - there were over 60 girls in my height class!!
This was only my second show and my first national one -
The only reason why I even entered this was for experience and to know what I needed to work on -

Just snap his neck with your "large" legs
Lauri, you look leaner than last time, as evidenced by your obliques being more exposed. So all you can do is be happy that you improved... that's all any of us can ask for. Have you ever thought about doing an INBF or another tested division show? I think you would place quite well.
congratulations
-Layne

Hey Layne -
Yes - I did come in a lot leaner although not lean enough.
I am just not giving myself enough time to diet down I think -
next show I am going to try and cut a little slower and start about 15 weeks out.
Hey - it is all a learning experience right?!
I wasn't even going to do this show because I knew I wasn't ready - but I figured what the hell!!
I never thought about doing an INBF show -
I will look into it though - thanks!!

Pretty and feminine
You look very pretty and feminine compared to the others there. I would agree that sculpting/toning legs would enhance your chances. Just please maintain that nice femininity you have.
Also, for me, a black costume absorbs light and disguises your shape more than a lighter costume. For a blond like you, a blue might be a better choice next time around.
Looking forward to future pix from you...

Thanks Carcharodon
Actually, that suit was a bluish purple and my two-piece was saphire blue!
It is just the lighting from my camera I guess that makes the suit look so dark.
Thanks again!!

Well, then you've got it going on. Yes, the tungsten light and the camera could be the reason it looks off in the image, which doesn't matter in real life judging anyway does it?

yeah but Id rather see proportion and a nice shaped lower body on a female then big ass implants. sometimes too perfect is not perfect.
oops but I almost forgot, this is a bodybuilding contest and your being judged upon perfection in the eyes of the standards set up by the judges.

you definately should... there are quite few shows in the NJ/NY/CT area. they are quite competitive but I think the judging is much more consistant than in the NPC. and you have the satisfaction of knowing everyone is tested.

hehehe... "hey she's got synthol in her chest!!!!!!!!!"
On a serious note... what kind of cardio did you do, I've been using a new technique with some of the people I prepare for shows and it has been working extremely well... ask Derek C. (beast).
Layne "hey silicon is natural, right?"

Thanks sabreman -
Looking great in general and looking great on stage in a competition are totally different and I take everything anyone says to me and I analyze it.
Maybe they are right - maybe they aren't, but either way, I can take criticism very well.
I do thank you for the compliment!!! You are very sweet!
But I don't take offense to most of the comments made on these boards.
If you want to compete - just go for it!!! Pick a show and tell EVERYONE you know that you are competing!!
Trust me, that will make you stick to where as under other circumstances you might not....

Very good for being your second competition and then stepping up to the national level.
You seem to have a good attitude by your statement on criticism and I hope to see you excel upward. Remember each competition brings opportunity for further refinement.
Keep up the good work.

Thanks Quadz!
Eventually, I am going for my pro card - and well, honestly - I'll never make it there unless I get feedback on how I look.
Thank you for the kind words!! You are very kind.
