Hey guys, off topic - a different take on what it takes to get to the top. I hear most guys talk about one direction to get there and often what it really takes is left out. Hope you dig it.

F*cking MEGA yawn.
God, I hate it when people get like this. Dude must be prepping. We get it, you're hungry and you're pissed off with everyone who's not you.
Head's-up champ, you're regurgitating the same old crap we hear at least 3 times a week.Novice Athletic Tall winner and Overall Athletic winner

Hey guys, you are absolutely right! This stuff is old news to a seasoned guy. If you've been in this life and pumping it out day after day. It's old news, its the basics, its been the same since the start..We all agree. So when new guys surfing these boards and looking for what the guys fighting to turn pro are all about. Im throwing my vote so much stuff i see.. the other vids and young guys talking too much "what it takes" and all. I say master the BASICS. AND chances are even most the guys talking smack..SUCK at them. True champion has it and goes for it. Plays it smart. Tries to improve before adding. Getting better instead of getting more. Or trying everything there is before saying why you couldn't. Effort wins, Bodybuilding is FUN and POSITIVE. These fourms are real time, and I am fighting for greatness right now too. So That's my message to the guys who need to hear it right now. Remember to be a Fu*&ng beast and go for it.
check out my timeline to see my progress .. I get better because I get better at the life and training. I take pride in that. Young guys should be excited to walk the road.. Im walking, I still have so much more to improve on. I have so much I have not tried, and so much to experiment with. (All this I am speaking about training techniques, and diet. ) it would take a lifetime to truly be an amazing bodybuilder. So bodybuilding is my life. I started at 14 and hope to compete into my late 40's. So thats exactly what I am doing, spending my life trying to get to the Olympia Stage and win that show. I am 24 now, I am not claiming to be better then anyone. I do try harder though. While you yawn, I am passing you. GET EXCITED! BE PART OF THE BODYBUILDING WORLD!
Being completely honest with yourself. Have you done everything prefect everyday for months, observe adjust, continue for months strict as hell? Adjust go again, trying new workout routines rep ranges, months, and months .. you can't. Most of you are mid 20's. Well since I was 14 I've been trying, and failing to be consistent, doing great, having family problems, doing great, life happens, doing great -- and I am no where near close. AND THIS IS MY WHOLE LIFE! If 100% is the best.. I am at 20% maybe. But I have been practicing the basics and still improving the entire time with more than enough room for changes and improvements everywhere. So I am more then enough confident in the bodybuilding world to have what I need to shape my body like they have been since the beginning using the same principals.
Seasoned guys should just continue to go for it and get ready to battle me on stage!
In a slow sport, welcome new content. Encourage. I want everyone to be huge and ripped. SO EVERYONE TRY HARDER! and go for it!Last edited by DavidZiegler; 01-07-2014 at 07:24 PM.

I am getting into a masters program that will pay out 70k entry level... I think I am trying hard enough.
Also, a lot of the guys on here are natty so "constant" improvement is kind of laughable, when 100% efforts net you less than 1% results. There is no point putting in 100% of your dedication into something you don't want to make as a career especially when 80% will achieve the goal.
save the feigned humility

It could take long paragraphs to explain but basically... natty lifters don't require 100% effort to achieve all you can when simple smart training and flexible diet after years of consistency will produce the same anyway...
I mean go 100% for the prep for a contest sure, but if you don't compete? lol just lol
