Was looking up sludge recipes and found a few that used either XF or a SciVation brand, but then I started seeing some folks using Trutein. Seems like a solid product, but I've been a long time ON groupie when it comes to protein.
Thoughts on Trutein... Is the blend of casein and egg proteins a good replacement for ON?

Contrary to popular belief, I dont actually bench 900lbs, as stated in my username.

Nutritional ketosis requires explicit reduction of CHO intake to generally lower than 50 g/d and, for some, <30 g/d. Protein must also be restricted, often to <1.8 g/d per kg body mass and sometimes to < 1.2 g/d per kg, with remaining calories composed from fat.

TruNutrition (Now Tao supposedly) has had a couple of quality issues in the past and other complications so i prefer to stay away from them now. I went through multiple tubs of protein before all of this and i still have 2 tubs left which i won't be using and probably not selling/giving away.

Interesting.... Will check into the Trutein stuff.
I'm guessing ON could make a decent sludge as well, just gotta play around with the water content and fillings.Starting weight: 450 Lbs.

Trutein's problem here stems more from a very poor PR response to a relatively benign QA issue than anything more serious; searching around, you can find that they basically took an opportunity to show a lot of consideration and turned it into a "yeah, so what you gonna do, bro?"
If you're on the fence about them, they do offer a very nice sample program that lets you try them out. I liked my samples and wouldn't shy away from getting a tub if/when a good value presents itself.
That said, there are certainly lots of good blend options, many of which have already been discussed here.[Log] Prime Nutrition Stack: bbcom.me/1Acr9Pt

Thanks for the replies... The whole blend topic is one reason Trutein peaked my interest, but I suppose I can look at other blends as well. The issue I've seen with some blends though is that they were either calorie or carb heavy.
Just curious, but what happened to the original SciVation sludge preference? I had watched that YouTube video of Lobliner using it originally... SciVation Whey didn't look like a blend.Starting weight: 450 Lbs.

You are correct Scivation whey is not a blend but worked just fine as a sludge. I have used xf, San and many others. Making sludge is nothing new, since I have been making protein pudding since the original metrx came out. Rarely drink a shake. Blends with a nice percentage of casein work best but just a matter of finding the right water/ powder ratio
