currently, mine would have to be cottage cheese and greek yogurt! Going through a phase where I usually have both of these items everyday, and get the rest of my protein/fat from meat
I don't think there is a best protein source unless you are talking most amount of protein per kcal, which would probably be some sort of protein supplement (obviously not the best source), but the best option would be to get your daily protein from as many varied sources as you can, to be getting a good mixture of micronutrients.

Healthier, or 'better ones' are the ones that will correct any imbalances and provide you with any nutrients your currently lacking. Eggs may be better for some people, while milk may be better for others.
Safe to say, any complete protein source from food will typically be 'better' than whey, since there will be some micronutrients that come along with the protein. Unless the person is on a very tight budget, strapped on time, and gets sufficient micronutrients from the rest of their diet, in which case whey might actually be the 'better' source.

There is no such thing as a food that is healthier than another. Everything we as humans eat for food has a different composition of macronutrients. It comes down to the individual needs of the person to determine what foods best serve their goals!
As soon as you figure this out, the world is your oyster, or whatever protein you prefer

You missed the rest of my post. Thats exactly what I was saying, its not necessarily the best, or the worst, its dependent on the person, and variety is best to help reach goals...I just gave a few specific example of when whey could be better, didn't think I needed to list them all to prove my point :P lol
