No it isn't hard, just get your lazy a$$ off the couch and do it. Is that motivating enough?

I do not think anyone here can motivate you
you have to do that for yourself
once you have started, then people on here can encourage you, offer advice if needed and generally keep you interested in continuing your progress
the supplements may help, not experienced enough to know
but I do know, they wont lift the weights for you, that part you have no alternative to doing it for yourself
thus if you are genuinely keen to maintain/improve your physique
time under the iron, good food choices, and quality rest - are the 3 keys
and you can find directions to finding them on many areas of this site
good luck in 2014 - but Luck is what you make it☻/

Motivation comes from with in.
2012 was a year of on and off training due to miss-hap's. I had broken ribs, pulled something under my shoulder blade. Then had a total hip replacement. Got soft around the edges. Now time for a comeback. 1st year in. So far things are going great!!
April 11th 2014 double bypass surgery. So another set back grrrrrr.

Just look through the workout logs of people here that are much older than you and are busting their a$$ on a regular basis. You'll then realize that if you want it bad enough as you get older, then the only thing that is stopping you is yourself. Nobody here is going to be able to say any magic words that are suddenly going to inspire you to work harder. If you want it bad enough, you'll do it. If you don't, you'll find yourself sitting on the couch thinking about it more and more.

I'm 35 and a female. I've only just started lifting, and I came into it because my body doesn't look how it did when I was 20, through minimal effort (albeit kickboxing 5-6 days a week, but that was just pure fun!). Now, the old tricks don't work anymore. I'm changing it up. Within a couple of weeks of lifting, I can feel the changes and I know it's not going to be long before I can see them, too. That makes it easy. Lifting heavy (for me!) is the easiest way I've found so far to make my body feel amazing. So get up off your butt and lift some weights!
Or, if that doesn't work, then, to quote one of my motivational pins:
"Losing weight is hard.
Maintaining weight is hard.
Staying fat is hard.
Choose your hard."

Well I am 38 going on 39 and it don't matter how many people cheer you on, the best source of inspiration you could possibly ever have has to come from deep within. All the supplements in the world will not help you if you can not find the motivation to make things work. If we get stuck we will change the routine, mix up the sets, or look at our diet and see if there is any thing we tweak.
Don't give up though, if it is something you really want go after it, and good luck ^_^"Music can mend even the most damaged soul"
