We have a family member that makes moonshine better than I've ever had. He built a small distillation column like those in chemical manufacturing plants. Obviously on a much smaller scale but a brilliant setup. I've never had moonshine like his. Usually it's a lot like rubbing alcohol with a piece of fruit stuck in it. This shine is more like a smooth whiskey that you can drink straight.

I did no aux or oly this morning. I sipped coffee and tidied up a bit in the gym and then wired a new light fixture. Sounds easy enough, it wasn't...
I lack about 6 fixtures from having the entire gym converted to the new bulb type fixtures.Squat: 1,040

I had to turn power off so it was fairly dark, no problem, I have a couple of the battery powered work lights. But, I'm on a ladder in and amongst equipment with hands and fingers like I have. I always try to be careful with power so there aren't any issues.
The big obstacle is that two of my tool bags are at my sons as we've been working on his place trying to get it ready to move in. When he moved back and decided he'd rearrange some stuff in the gym, he moved all my tool boxes to my large storage building. And, if you're trying to get a step ahead of me, yes, he stacked all sorts of shiz in front of it. So, finding parts and tools was the hardest part. What should have taken less than 30 ended up being well over an hour.Squat: 1,040

yes...I do have a program I use percentage wise when I have very little time. I am in the last weeks, 6 training weeks prior to Relentless. I have trained 2-16 week cycles culminating in a 600 and 612 belt only squat. so, I have a percentage wave starting at 80%, which is higher than usual. Not something I'd suggest. and the wave jumps quickly. So, I did 505x2x3 last week, weight stays just ad a rep for today, next week will be up 5%. My weight is based on a projected max...again, not something I usually do but, I have little time. It gets heavier very quickly.
Next week is about 525-530 for 3 sets of 2 and I'm fighting the odd lower back left glute injury right now so, my volume is very low. I'm just trying to get to this meet in one piece.Squat: 1,040

not this time
It's one of those things, I get worse before betting better. With me driving about 1100 miles in 4 days and living in a small apartment/condo and bed, I knew better.
I'm just trying to get through this and then I'm going to change my training significantly.Squat: 1,040

took a floor beam out of one of the power racks to allow better room for benches and lifters
Took out a bad box and turbo fan. I have replaced the box fan, I have a turbo, just need to mount it.
And went to Lowes and bought another 2-T-8 flush mount fixture. With the holiday weekend, I have it and a LED 4' 2 bulb low profile fixture I'll install.

We are going to rework how we do a few things. Missy and I have either trained OLY and dinner on Wednesday night or just date night since she moved here. What we've decided is, 2 of the Wednesdays we stay home, work in the gym or train, and make sure we do something with the dogs and forgo dinner out. It's $50 no matter it seems so, we will save for another beach vacation by forgoing some of the eating out, etc.
We've been so busy and simply tired that some of the gym chores have fallen by the way side. With the holiday, it will give us some time to get caught up. But, to answer you, no it won't be a full work weekend. Saturday will be busy. We have a meet about 60 miles away and a bunch of the Evansville girls I coach online will be int eh gym super early. We will do that, do the meet, I am judging as is Missy and we have 6 gym lifters lifting and one of the Evansville crew. That night will likely be celebratory and then Sunday will be a movie morning and then we will prep for the week and work in the gym.
See how exciting we are?Squat: 1,040

My husband and I are about as exciting as you. We love being at home.
A vacation rather than going out every week sounds nice. As long as you do stuff together and make the effort then there is no need to go out. We spend of plenty of nights making a nice dinner at home and still consider it quality time together. Just because dinner was not served to me by a waiter makes it no less special.POWERLIFTING TRAINING JOURNAL

We need to do more with the dogs and simply not spend so much oney. Between the food we prep and my meal prep begins soon as I have to take off some weight, the her supps and such, it can add up quickly. We need the down time from gym, work and such if only for a few days and the beach is really it for her. I'm fine in AC, TV and beer but...I can see where it's not the same for her.
It's not like we won't do stuff just not near as much as it seems silly to burn through so much money.Squat: 1,040

It's silly to us as well. I would rather spend money elsewhere. We eat 99% of our meals from home. We both cook breakfast and lunch and take it to work. Dinner I either make a day or two in advance or one of us cooks at night. Most of my coworkers go out to lunch every day. It seems like a waste of time and money.

I hear you. I'm trying to debulk now. My husband can't leave work so what he takes is all he has. Of course his coworkers like to tease him about how eat always eats "healthy." Apparently they confuse home cooked with healthy. Hardly the same thing.
Good luck on your debulkPOWERLIFTING TRAINING JOURNAL
