For perspective, I lifted Sunday, up at 2:30 am Monday to get the cab at 330, 550 flight, get home, unload, set up laptop so I can work later that evening and then drove into work, gym till 730, worked till 9 on the computer and then back up at 4 am for the gym and I'm at work till 9 or so tonight...you can see, being a natl champ has its privileges...

ok, I"m back. Japan was not what I epxected, at least where I was..anyway, did have a great time and managed to bronze at the IPF world championships Pretty cool run for 2 weeks. I benched light yesterday and squatted, working on an adjustment to form for gear and saving my shoulders with the 20kg bar.

a few years ago, the direction of the SPF and the sport as a whole changed. I also have gotten much busier as a coach and the gym is busier. We are adding on as we speak. Jennifer made th eplunge and won IPF worlds a couple of years ago in Belarus and I was received very well. I was supposed to compete in Masters SM natls when I got back from Belarus but, a flight change prevented me from weighing in on time so, I wasn't allowed to compete. So, I needed an outlet. I had trained for 7 months and was primed to win. SO, I did a quick cycle and qualified forraw natls as I hiad never competed USAPL. I competed at natls and got 3rd and went 9-9. SO, I went the next year and won Masters sm natls which was quite a freath er in my cap. Ahmed talked me into doing USAPL bench natls and I lucked up and won and went to Japan and bronzed at IPF worlds. 2 weeks prior to bp worlds I did equipped natls and won so I'm on the US team for equipped IPF worlds. I've gotten involved locally. Ultimately, a couple of years ago, I stepped down from the SPF. I needed to focus on the gym, my lifters who want to compete everywhere and I no longer wanted the conflict of interest and the issues that came from it. It's been a good move for us as we are home more but still travel alot. The gym crews have both grown and the online base has as well. I'm very lucky and blessed and it makes for long days but, I'm truly grateful to be able to do it and still be viable as an athlete.

I didn't train anything today. I did, however, put a spider rack together and put it in the bench area and moved an older spider rack to the leg area to help orgnaize the kilo plates. I have added some different racks as well, meaning I have put them together and they are stored for when the addition is done.
