what specifically were you doing in football that screwed up your knees? I'm pretty good about stretching. I spend about 20 minutes doing stretches and warmups before soccer/bball/football.
My only problem is shin splints. I normally do ok running on grass and as long I don't play basketball more than 2 hours at a time I'm fine. Got some new cleats last week though, played football and soccer for 4 hours, ridiculous shin splints since.
you never know what that could snowball into brah, will at least make someone's day, if not their week, maybe even month. What's $100 to you in the grand scheme of things? I can make another hundred in a day, no biggie.

Honestly, I'm thinking more like someone at the grocery store who seems to be strapped for cash trying to pay for their groceries. I have all year to wait for the right time. It won't be some random bum on the street who I assume would go buy some black tar the minute I walk away.
just found this for my spanish goal. Seems absolutely perfect. 50 lessons and they are 1 hour a piece!

Grabbing the rim isn't even close to dunking a basketball. Your fitness goals conflict with each other.....specially if you're training for marathons, playing sports, or even strength training. Training for a vertical jump is very specific.
Hope you achieve all of your goals.....52 books is beast, don't let it affect the rest lol.

Considering I could grab the rim within 2 weeks of playing bball for the first time since ~middle school, I'd say it won't take me long at all. Honestly, I think I can do all of them. Just requires more effort and more food than most people are willing to put in. Comments like these motivate me the most, so thanks (srs)
also I am a pretty quick reader. Should have my first one finished before work tomorrow. (just started today after work/gym)
awesome list brah. I will probably try the yoga thing too. always been kind of intrigued by it, never actually given it a shot thoughLast edited by TooLateForRoses; 01-01-2014 at 04:17 PM.

I don't have a list yet. Today I am reading, "Contagious: Why Things Catch On" by Jonah Berger. I will probably read a mix of business books, self help books, and autobiographies. The last book I read was The Wolf of Wall Street (phenomenal). Up next I may revisit How To Win Friends and Influence People for the first time since 9th grade, and after that Why A Students Work For C Students.
I like self help, positive, autobiographies, etc. Will probably throw in a handful of fiction books just to spice things up.
ahh i see. i'm not playing that much, probably won't play anything more than 3 hours a day again
I can take yoga classes for free at the gym I work at. what's the difference that makes it so basic? I feel like my first week should be pretty basic anyway.

i see i see. i know that it is meant to be spiritual, but i'm not really looking for all that, and since it's free, i don't really mind.
they don't jack up the temperature at my gym either lol, the people would certainly complain.
get to it brah. you're not going to be motivated to get stuff done if you're not even motivated to make the list!!!

Hmm, another one I read last year that will conflict with popular misc opinion was, Every Day a Friday by Joel Osteen. It definitely has a big Christian undertone to it, but regardless of a religious affiliation, if anyone were to look at the core of the book, they could learn a lot from it. It basically teaches how to make the most of every situation, and take control of your mentality in regards to being positive. That's another book I read recently that I liked a lot, I am definitely a much more positive person since reading it (srs).
I'll have to take a look at my bookshelf. I read a lot in high school and I honestly haven't read much lately. Looking forward to taking it to the next level this year

OP do yourself a favor and download memrise and duolingo, they are two phone apps that when used in conjunction will allow you to learn Spanish quite rapidly just stick to them.
In addition ill edit this post momentarily as im making list of my own, subscribing to the thread and will be poverty repping those that stick to it and accomplish their goals.

dope. downloading them both now. I just completed my first lesson on spanish hour, was really elementary stuff, but I think that's good. Haven't done anything with spanish since 10th or 11th grade. Went to Costa Rica a few months back and felt like a bum, couldn't speak very well. My best friend is from Colombia. I am probably going to Medellin with him this summer for a week or two, hoping to be somewhat polished by then.

Well today I:
Read over half of my first book of the year
Completed my first Spanish lesson
Emailed my resume to a few gyms down in Palm Beach where I plan to move in ~2 months
All of this on top of going out last night, being at work at 8:30 A.M., and getting a workout in. I'd say it was a pretty productive start to 2014. Hoping to keep up the pace!
