This is not a 'fashion' thread. LOL You want something comfortable to workout in. Doesn't matter in the least what it looks like. I've worn the same pair of sweat pants for the past 3 years. They fit, they're comfortable...but there's a hole in the right knee now, and they're just about thread bare. I bought new sweat pants several months ago, mediums, but the crotch hangs halfway down to my knees. I could pull the suckers right up under my arms! I've kept them in the laundry room. Threw them in with every wash hoping that would do something. No luck!
I found a pair of runners pants at Walmart for eleven bucks! Fit perfectly, and comfortable to boot. I was about to give up on finding something. My little purchase was the best gift I got this Christmas, even if I bought them myself! I can retire my old, comfortable sweat pants, and chop up the sorry things I bought earlier and use them as rags around the house.

haha Nice thread would read again
I wear "ONE" pair - a secondhand pair of shorts my daughter wore 10 years ago (they were a hand-me-down from a friend of ours). She's 20. They certainly give a good stretch but have a limit.
I love them because they keep me cool. They're low enough to cover a scarred area on my right hip. The ones in the shops are too short or too long.
Cool as..
They're deep blue, almost black, worn through in the rear so I wear black underwear. Yeah..that's correct, I'm very considerate of others. Sadly, they have a hole in the corner of a back pocket. I like to think the pants hide it coz I jus' dunno?? lol I mean, when I wear 'em right..and look in the mirror, if I can't see it then they can't.. The seams have been restitched, one was done twice to prevent them from fainting on me. Not bad from someone who got an "F" for a High School - Sewing and Fabrics class. Dedicated!
My "One" top is a second hand urgly brown singlet/tank top that covers up any cleavage. Yeah I know.. they should thank me. It's got a great black zig-zag restitch job along half the bottom hem. That is NOT my work. New cotton tanks are revealing especially when doing Hyperextensions, DB Rows and riding the bike. I'm not even sure where I got that shirt from.

I've used the same zip-up hoodie sweatshirt for 15-years, the woman has told me she is planning on throwing it away...I told her flatly 'You do, I'll leave you'...I was dead serious.
Still rockin my tattered sweaty.
Edit: Had to think back...damn, that sweat hood is 20+ years....good god.Pssst, Hey Buddy, your back is not that big, and your arms don't normally hang that way.

I have a grey pair and navy blue pair of sweats. For shirts i wear my old brown t-shirts from my DCU/BDU days even though they are getting old. Like everyone else, i wear this because it is comfortable......

LOL on the "fashion statements at the gym." I go late, most folks have cleared out by then. I'm sure there are some fashionistas here and there when it's packed. These runners pants are mesh lined, and a little bit 'shiny.' Black. I was worried about the 'high gloss' but I think it will wear in the wash. I can't be wandering around in shiny black pants!

When I find a pair of shorts or shirt I like, I tend to buy a couple as comfort is way more important than style. So, it looks like I am wearing the same gray shorts for a couple years and the same cut of shirt in 3-4 colors

I have a buddy that wears under armour
compression shirts to the gym. Only problem is he has a belly and it rides up whenever he does any pressing movements.
Winter I wear sweats and a hoodie. Summer it's usually sweats and a tank top. I have a lot of under armour compression shirts that Angie bought me but I don't feel comfortable in them unless I'm right near comp form and even then I just feel like a doucheIt's not your beliefs that make you a better person, it's your behavior.

I have mostly real nice gym clothes, I just went through everything and threw out all the ratty looking ones. I buy most of my gym stuff at the outlet stores so when I see a good deal I stock up. Some guys wear real gross stuff and it smells even worse. At least wash it once a month...

I have two pairs of shorts, black ones and grey ones. Kinda' like basketball shorts. Comfy as hell. I also wear plain ol' white, grey, or black cheap t-shirts. I can't wear long pants or sleeves because I'm one of those guys that sweats like mad. Winter is much better for my body than summer. I think when I was squatting the other day, my pink, glittery thong's whale tale poked out... JK

"Pound away" has much more to do with ignorant, just get through it than anything else brother! Sometimes, that's all that one needs. Lift, up the weight, and lift again. It's always harder the second time around. At other times it's just good to know that one is not a complete 'cad.' Ha! There are things that qualify us! Even on the silly boards here.
I like the presence of those who know! Ha ha. There are things that are simply civilizing! They make you better than you are. And we all need that!paolo59

I have two gray sweatsuits--which I wash regularly--and wear those whenever I work out. In the summer, just a T-shirt and a pair of shorts. I have skinny legs so I want to wear the shorts and build them up as much as possible. And I never really cared who wore what in the gym when I went to one years back. If you're more interested in what someone else is wearing, even if they're attractive or good looking or whatever, then you're there for the wrong reason. Now that I've been working out alone, it doesn't matter what I wear...but I will wear more than a smile when I train, unlike SP.
