So yesterday I hung out with my dad, he always has encouraging words to say. Then I took my little brother swimming. After that I went out drinking, I usually don't drink much during the week but my buddy wanted to see me so I met him out at my favorite bar.

While I was there I started talking to this guy sitting beside me. We started talking about everyday stuff and I mentioned he looked like he lifts, etc. He then starts telling me about his last relationship and his ended exactly like mine did. He gave me some encouraging words and I told him I appreciated it very much. Now what are the odds that I start talking to someone and they had the same experience as mine? The guy was here on business too so he doesn't even live in my state. I don't know if God had that planned or not but I am glad to have met that guy.

Also, I saw a guy I haven't talked to in years, he wrestled for a rival school when I was in high school. He comes over to me to talk to me and tells me he has terminal cancer, he is my age, I didn't know what to say. I told him if he needs anything at all, to hit me up. His wife and him are moving out to Hawaii because he wants to enjoy the rest of his life in a nice climate.

Makes you realize everyone has problems and most likely yours is not that bad compared to others.

I don't have any fancy program but tried this online tool. Uploaded pic and moved the bottom color slider to 1.6.
Not great since it affects the whole pic somewhat so results can get crappy. Maybe some pros in here can help you better.

Sequel to The Nightmare Crew is three-quarters done. I really need a new computer. My current one is overloaded. It's a Toshiba with 4GB's of memory...but it ain't enough. Out of curiosity, what does everyone have computer-wise along with its memory capacity?

I don't know much about computers but got myself just an average Acer gaming computer about 3 yrs ago.
8 GB RAM, and it says 923 GB storage.

Going for a walk on a nature trail to take some photos...I wish I was good at taking pics of lightning. Some crazy storms coming through here lately, would make for good photography.

So, I got an app for my phone today that allows you to put together photos in a collage. I have never used anything like this before, and think it turned out pretty good. Easy to use, too! Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Hmmm....are you saying you're Toshiba is a laptop and you actually just need a larger hard drive for all your literary works/multiple versions, etc.?
If buckaroos is the constraint you could get an external (1 TB) USB drive if storage is the issue.
I would think 4 gig of memory would be adequate for your writing purposes/application unless you are you are using some other memory sucking applications also?

You're a writer and need your tools.

Just trying to understand clearly and maybe offer some suggestion.

I'm typing on an Intel quad-core @3.40ghz with 16 GB of RAM and a local disk size of 1TB. There is a second machine here that has a similar setup but it works as a dumbterminal for cloud services with an ungodly amount of storage.

4GB today is not so great if you are not connected to some type of cloud system for word processing and data storage. If you are doing personal processing then at the least 16GB and 1TB with a backup solution will hold you for some time.

Wayne, I do have a few memory sticks to keep some of my files in. The problem is--what I think it is--is that the hard drive is maxed out. (This shows how computer stupid I really am). Maybe the modem is off, or maybe I still have too many files. I've purged my system of most of the unnecessary stuff and I still have trouble. The download speed is very slow. If and when I have some spare cash I'll get a new computer and keep it relatively file free...that's all I can think of, and I appreciate everyone's comments.
