Thanks too Zachattack43 and Gaspari for sending me a full tub of Anavite Powder to try out and review. I have taken the Anavite pills in the past when they first came out, and for a multi I really like the extra's and the added BA. Here's my review:
Ingredient Profile:
As you can see the Anavite Powder formula is very similar to the Anavite pill formula, just a few dosages seem to be slightly different to me. Anavite is always regarded as one of the best Multi's on this forum for its sources and extras. I like the addition of Beta-Alanine for endurance and I think its a cool addition to a multi because a lot of people enjoy that tingle feeling that makes it feel like its kicking in and working. I also like the addition of Carnitine-Tartrate as I am currently taking ARA and I know that helps with absorption. The label recommends to take this 1-2 times daily with meals, and each scoop is 1 serving, giving 60 servings in a bottle. The full 2 servings would give the recommended 2 grams of Carnitine Tartrate per day and 3.2 grams of beta alanine along with a full spectrum of Vitamins A, C, D, E, and B-Complex and some added Boron. Overall I give this profile a 9.5/10.
Mixability: The first couple of days I mixed this in a glass of water with a spoon, the mixability was good but not great. I seemed to have some particles left at the bottom when mixed this way. I then mixed it in a shaker cup with some ice and I didn't have as many particles at the bottom but it did foam up quite a bit on top. Either way not a huge deal to me I give this mixability a 7.5/10.
Taste: I was surprised to find the taste to be very good. The flavor is orange and it tastes much like Tang and even close to real orange juice. I think the flavor is pretty versatile if you wanted to just throw a scoop of this into some vanilla protein it would make an orange creamesicle flavor. Taste 9/10.
Value: Not sure on the price of this one yet as it hasn't been released to the store. However, Anavite pills are $27.98 for 60 servings which isn't too bad for a premium Multi with some extras. Overall Value 8.5/10.
Effectiveness/Other Notes: It does what it is supposed too, like I said above the BA is a cool addition because you can feel it kicking in. Either you like BA or you hate it it seems, I noticed the effects of the BA where particularly strong on this one as I got a lot of the tingle type feeling. I don't normally supplement with Multivitamins anymore as I eat a wide spectrum of foods and a lot of fruits and vegetables and pretty much get my vitamins from my diet, but during the winter months its beneficial to have some extra vitamins in my opinion. Taking a multi in a powder form isn't that appealing to me, I would rather just take a few pills with a meal, but It does make it easier to just add to a smoothie or protein drink. I would consider this more of a premium multi vitamin in the category of Animal pak or OT. Effectiveness is a 10/10 for me so far.
Overall the rating comes to a 8.9/10. I highly recommend this as a different option to break away from multi's in pill form.
