Sometimes I'll follow a hot fit chick on Instagram because hnnnnngh, but the fact that they post pics daily for validation as well as those bull**** "motivational" photos makes me reconsider because I'm too annoyed. (Also I will probably never smash a girl as hot as that feelsbadman.jpg.) Brb I'm so hardcore because I squat 135 lbs and have a pair of bolt-on titties.
You'd have a point if you didn't have a bunch of pics like this:
Really I'm just kind of annoyed with the whole "gym memes/Instagram fitness/I'm better than you because I lift" mindset. Not to mention the 50 hashtags per pic and constant need for attention. The whole time I'm like:
but at the same time
Another example + quality fap material:

Obviously a million times better than whales who say **** like "real women have curves." Do you guys talk to girls like this and find that they're the same way in person?

Is it just me or are "girls who lift" annoying/have huge egos? (examples)

This exists on both sides, but whenever anybody supersedes the average in ANY PURSUIT, there can be the tendency to develop an ego.
Usually that ego is out a meme culture where that person begins to embody some idea (in this case the "cool lifter chick" that posts memes/squats/doesn't afraid of anything) and they cease to have the capacity to differentiate themselves from the meme and the true/creative/flowing self.

The girls I have in my uni PL club are strong as hell and quite good looking, and are some of the most confident, cool, down to earth chicks I know. However, they aren't like the girls in your post.
What you have there are instagram attention whores, and they get off on the humble brag of "oh my god, stop checking me out, even though I'm basically half naked and wearing skintight clothing" Which is their every right of course.
They get the validation in the gym, and on the internet. Because that's what women want. To be desired.
This is quite insightful and correct.

honestly, I just don't like hanging out with people who lift irl. Of my closest group of friends (5 of us) 1 of them besides myself lifts regularly, and I can't stand talking about it with him.
brb "bro I just deadlifted 5 plates!"
brb 2 weeks later "bro I finally deadlifted 455!"
