another guy (through temp agency) was just an admin assistance. well, an spot opened up and he was internally hired. 50k.
gotta do something, just something man. don't live at home. put your back against the wall and fight out, anywhere you end up is better than being at home. please trust me on this

Actually no. In Canada you're required to get a certification to serve Alcohol, it's called "Smart Serve".
It has nothing to do with me thinking it's something to be proud of, it's merely an example that I'm doing things, getting off of my ass to open up doors that offer high monetary return in the short term. bartending and serving will make more money than any other part time job, especially in my region that houses 3 post secondary campuses.
Quality attempt at being a smartass, it's a legal requirement, dumbass. Try harder next time, or just pull your head out of your ass.** Electrical & Electrical Engineer Brah **

You're still miscing when you could be searching job ads and sending out resumes.
Being Canadian or American has nothing to do with it.
Neither whatever the job market is right now or was 15 years ago. (which is the comment I get when I make any contribution to these "I can't find a job" threads)

OP you don't know desperation yet. u only 2 months in.
I interviewed for a star bucks and target position. and i got rejected.
when you apply to minimum wage places like office depot, sears, k-mart, etc. and they wont even call u for an interview then u will feel something. The training is nothing, the will is everything. The will to act.

I'm in the land of opportunity? Have you even been reading the thread? The region in which I live was rated the #1 most unemployed at one point, and is currently the SECOND most unemployed place in Canada. You're telling me living in the region with the second highest unemployment is the "land of opportunity"?
You want to know what your problem is, at the core of it all. You're happy making ****ing excuses for yourself. Be a man and stop crying. Do something or don't, no one cares and no ones going to hold your hand. You're a ****ing adult, you do what it takes to get by, or you don't. You're "too good" to work fast food but you'll cry about having nothing to do.
Just stop, no one gives a **** about your sob story. The only people that sympathize with you are people that see themselves in you and want to join your pity party. Meanwhile the men are out being proactive and fixing their lives.** Electrical & Electrical Engineer Brah **

You seem like a self entitled mug.
I very rarely put people down on the Misc, but if your complaining about not having a job and yet wont apply for every option regardless or pay or specific field of work, then you are going to fail in life.

Further example of your bull****, you neg me with
Thread: TFW When you cant find...
dude stfu man. your in canada. lots of work there, If I was there I would be working at ft.mcmoney. act like your all high and mighty cuz you bartend and are going to school woop dee doo. you and millions of other ppl im in school too dip****
Ft. McMoney hires Americans too. There is good business out there but you're an absolute tool if you think Ft. McMurray is some sort of savior of jobs. Not everyone can just move to Ft McMurray and it literally has NOTHING to do with your problem.
Second point, you chirp me for being all high and mighty for bartending while in school, like the millions of other people, and other people you're in school with. So tell me this, if millions of people can bartend and go to school, why can't you manage to JUST bartend? If so many people from your school have jobs bartending, why can't you get one?
Tell me why the ****, SO many people can get jobs bartending while in school, but you're the exception? You know why? Because it's an excuse.
You chirp me for being one of millions of basic people that do menial peasant work like bartending, yet you're unemployed. Funny.
All this is tough love man. You hate me for it, I get it, thats cool. But I've gotten plenty of greens out of this with people who support what I'm saying. No one will help you, no one cares. It's up to you, and only you. If I was an employer and some guys current employment was McDonalds It'd look far better than unemployed, because at least that guy is trying in the interim. You want to whine, make excuses, complain etc be my guest, but NONE of those things will get you a job, NONE of those things will pay your bills and NONE of those things will fix your mentality or your problems. Do the math man, you aren't winning this battle sitting at home on the misc.
You think none of us have struggled? ****, half of us end up on a bodybuilding website because at one point we were bullied, made unhappy with ourselves or needed a change, and we're here MAKING that change. Not talking about.** Electrical & Electrical Engineer Brah **

unemployed 60 days. 20-40 applications. Doesn't sound like something you are worrying about everyday, huh? I'll feel bad when you spend at least 4 hours a day filling out applications and beating the pavement.
I'll feel bad when you take a crap job and still fill out at least 1 application per day that you are working.
I'll feel bad when you tell me, you ate toothpaste or something stupid you were so hungry.
Until then, it's time to man up and accept responsibility, or man up and accept you are where you are because of your decisions/circumstances, and keep going hard with a good attitude.
We all know about your dui. Stop coming here to be emo.
source: I've been unemployed for longer, still currently working one part-time and have to budget my money just to eat every week. It hinders my gains a little, but that doesn't matter. All that matters is you are trying to get somewhere and you are doing what you can now to be there later.
