I recently bought a g22 and my wife can barely pull the slide back with both hands and she can't manage the slide release with a single hangle. Any suggestions for a pistol she would be able to use?

Teach her a different technique.

Don't pull the slide back. Hold the gun up to the body with strong hand, grasp top of slide with weak hand, push gun forward while keeping weak hand stationary.

Don't try to use the slide release, just use the above technique in every situation.

Fondled one of these at the LGS today. Compact doesn't describe how short this setup really is in person. The only bad thing I have to say about the rifle is the bolt position. It is REALLY awkward since it's a bullpup.

She can rack the slide with proper technique. Firm overhand grip with the left hand (assuming right handed), and then push forward with the right hand instead of trying to pull the slide back entirely with the left hand. Hope that makes sense, there are a lot of videos on youtube that can help as well. "Women semiautomatic slide" will get you results.

That being said, if she refuses to learn or is genuinely not capable (I find that hard to believe), you can always get her a revolver.
